The IPhone Dyno App

I still dislike the IPhone on principle alone.

One of the guys I work with it picking up an iphone today (or tomorrow?) because of this app instead of the LG.

cool
0-48mph in 13.08 seconds? reminds me of my 71 vw bus. :giggle:

I picked up a 3G the monday after they came out, awesome phone/device, but it lags sometimes, and I scratched the "unscratchable" screen before I got one of those screen protectors on it.

Gay.

I refuse to pay for software that I haven't tried out first.

I actually just snagged an iPhone on my way to the office this morning. And read this post on it.

Will have to buy this app.

Hate to rain on your parade but "The kicker is that you don't even have to plug in your iPhone anywhere, just set it in the cup holder and drive" Most of us dont have cupholders, sorry.

Now someone figure out how to run megatunix on it and connect it to the megasquirt and will love you long time.

I bet other than gui that wouldn't be too difficult. Wasn't Tunix made on OSX? Too bad you need OSX to code wih the Iphone SDK, otherwise I'd love to spend some free time on it.

There is also one for the Nokia N 95

Or you can use this one (when you have to run to the bus)

I am a CS undergrad, and it is a shit ton more difficult then you think. Communications alone isn't the easiest and your only option is bluetooth.

I spent 4 years in va tech's computer engineering program. I'm pretty solid with the hardware and the software. I'm fully aware of the difficulties. Gl on our studies.

I am assuming this works using GPS, and I can't imagine it having "0-60 accuracy to within .08 seconds".

Anyone know?

the iPhone and itouch have built in accelerometers the are very sensitive.

compy 07-30-2008 02:50 PM

Then I retract that statement. Cool idea.

Thanks, I just downloaded the iPhone SDK on the office's macbook, I will try my hand at developing something, getting "Hello World!" to appear is the first task. :giggle:

It's weird using OSX.

RotorNutFD3S 07-30-2008 03:06 PM

I just got it this morning on my iPod Touch. Very cool indeed. Don't know if it's as accurate as they claim yet. Still $12 vs. whatever a gforce thing costs is a better deal for the same thing.
