Rode my bike around, calculated some gear ratios for my bike (got my speedo correction factor), fixed its backfiring, about to start writing some reports, and going to sleep early so I can review for an ECO100 final.. (ive only showed up for the tests, lets hope it works out) its 10:30pm in the good ole central time

I have completed installing drainage for the garage so that it wont flood anymore. Cleaned most of the junk out and am about ready to power wash the floor to get the dirt out. There is more than enough room to put a car in there now. So I will forgo the dyno day probably so that I can spend the weekend doing the motor swap. Too much stuff to do at home before I go back for summer classes after next week. After doing the work on the garage my mom now wants me to make the foundation for a 10x10 shed they bought. So I have to basically spend all next week doing that :( Remind me to never offer to do any housework ever again because my mom will just keep wanting me to do more.

i had/have a dyno session scheduled for Saturday morning. Well, I sent a PM to the dyno operator on a local forum that we all frequent to confirm the appointment made weeks ago. He says that he never got my information and that he gave my timeslot to someone else. I'm pissed, because this is the last weekend before i leave to go on a 700 mile trip. BROTHA NEEDS GAS MILEAGE. I showed him a PM that I sent him right after our initial conversation that had ALL my info in it, and he's claiming he never got it, blah, blah, blah. He's going to try to reschedule the other appointment though, so it's all good if he can. If he can't though, I'm fucked.

Having to stop every 170 miles for gas is not something I or my travel companions are going to look forward to.

I spent my day after work installing the replacement crankshaft and bearings. Got as far as checking all the oil clearances and torquing the crank bolts down. Then I got as much of the old gasket material off with brake cleaner and an sos pad so that the pan will seal nicely when the time comes. Then I got me a pint of whiskey and im sipping it slowly before hitting the sack :)

As if you would have considered having sex with something other than a woman??? Goat, Sheep, or some dude?

Shabbat dinner and gave a girl a ride on my motorcycle.

Traveled 15 hours via 4 different planes from Nashville to Fairbanks Alaska, I arrived at 2 am. I then slept till 8 and went off to the union halls, got signed up with the Teamsters union and got reinstated on the out-of-work list with the Operators. Bought some nice new work boots then drove 4 hours to get back to the little town I call home. Nothing has changed and the only thing I look forward to is starting work. Sooner I start, the sooner I get paid. Sooner I get paid, sooner I forget i have 4 months of work and realize I have 4 months of getting paid ahead of me. Which means 4 months of getting paid will allow me to go back to college in the fall which means I'll be back with the girlfriend, the car, and some darkness.
I'm now in the interior of Alaska, it is 10:15 and is no where near being dark, not even what I would consider dusk. I need the Miata here to keep me busy. Instead all i have is my Opel GT and a '91 Wrangler with a brokeass windshield.
So holy shit, i'm getting pounded all of a sudden with jetlag and I'm using dialup internet. Definitely feels like home, wouldn't have it any other way.
Think i would prefer Ben's evening though.

they were great, the bass player especially was tearin it up. The levels were a bit funny though, could barely hear the synths. It was free though, can't complain.

fixed my AC then proceeded to make my limbs numb with it.

I tightened down my turbo again, then strapped it to the manifold with a steel band. Changed the oil and filter, adjusted the air pressure. Cleaned out EVERYTHING, pulled out the spare and tools and checked for ANYTHING out of place. I have my first big autocross tommorow!! I'm SO excited.

This being a Saturday we wheeled the bar out of the garage at 10:30am and commenced making Bloody Marys. At around noon a neighbor we'd never met before brought over a bottle of Galliano, and that began several waves of Harvey Wallbangers. We finally ran out of Vodka about an hour later, at which point the margaritas began. This drew a crowd, and persisted until around 6pm. At this point we realized that none of us had eaten all day, so we called for pizza and then began making martinis while we waited. The pizza was split four ways, as was the 18 pack of beer I brought out to wash it down.

My liver hurts. :eek5:
