the pay doesnt really matter as most people live in apartments. houses are too expensive unless you have a high paying job. but most rent is only 300-400 bucks a month.

the average business men make the same, about 30000-50000 a year. most of them are business men anyway.

i actually stayed in one of those places on my visit to tokyo. "capsule hotels" its actually not as bad as you think :P they are pretty roomy, and they got the pr0n playing 24 hours, for free :)
