Default I've been under a rock for two months...

Okay, not really, but I just finished BMT for the Air Force. This is my first time on a computer in two months. I have missed two entire months of MT goodness. Two months without Hustler's raging homosexuality, two months without talking about my hairdresser's car...what amazing things have I missed?

Also, I just ate about 1500 calories of junk food in 20 minutes. It is amazing how good an Oreo tastes after two months of eating at the chow hall.

Damn I missed this forum. I'll be checking back on this thread throughout the weekend. Please entertain me.

Haha! The AF seems to really want to get rid of that label. As such, they apparently made PT harder (it's not hard at all) and they added this 5 day mock deployment to BMT. But I'm not gonna lie. I see why the Chair Force label exists. It was mostly 8 1/2 weeks of making beds and rolling t-shirts properly while being yelled at. Got to shoot an M16 and an M9, but there was nothing "hardcore" about the experience.

You Army guys are way tougher, no doubt. But I'm a nerd, hence my electronics job and joining the AF.

Remember - AF BMT is designed around seeing how well you work within a team and attention to detail. - The Army could give a rat's a$$ whether or not you can fold your undies into a 6" square. However, failure to do so in AF-BMT is an indicator as to the likelihood you will / will not be able to follow a TO (Tech Order) whilst repairing one of their (very) expensive aircraft.

Congrats on graduating. Don't OD on the pogy-bait. Where's your tech school?

JMWY Messiah, I'm an intel guy so I can't pretend to be very hardcore. l_bader is right about the attention to detail thing, though we do that also for different reasons. We didn't actually have a written standard (that I can remember) for the undie-folding but what mattered is that everyone in the company folded theirs the same.

Speaking of military stuff, I get pinned Sergeant next week, yay new fiscal year, the Army can afford to give me more money!

Electronics job eh? What's your AFSC? If you say 2A6X6, that's what I am also.
