Check it out. $40 for a wideband controller. Add wire and a sensor and you have a wideband with the same functionality of an LC1. I don't have one nor do i know anyone that does. Not endorsing the product just thought it might be a new option for people to save the extra $75 that the LC1 would cost over the cost of a bosch sensor, this controller and some wire. That is assuming the bosch sensor is around $50 which i think it is from a few places.

I might check into this. I have an LC-1 on my red Miata and would like to run WB on my blue Miata. Since I only use the WB now and then (once per year?) I was going to just pull my sensor and buy a partial kit from Innovate. This looks like a better (cheaper) solution.

Judging by the size relative to the penny it is small enough to fit in a $2.50 project box from radioshack.

basing that off the LC-1 at $180 shipped.

My only issue with DIY wideband stuff is the fact that if its off... you won't really know. At least you can have some sort of faith in produced systems.

So am I wrong or is everything on wbo2.com more expensive than just buying an LC1?
This DIY kit with sensor is less than $100, then you could to the $8 LCD display and have a sub $110 WB.

i really should learn how to solder and work on electronics boards. I was taking a class in HS but I never finished because I transfered to the "magnet" school in my district and they were pretty much just academic classes

Ah, you assume that the WB on the dyno is accurate too. One of our local dynos here I wouldn't trust any number coming off of it.

yeah, there was an article in GRM about this this month. i would rather be certain of my AFR, and not have a nagging suspicion that 12:1 is 11 or 13. It's only 50 or 60 bucks more.

Most of us are having fits trying to get a LC1 to work much less a home made WB02 comeon guys we aren't all solder junky's here give us a breack wiring the stuff in was bad enough.
