$10 of monopoly money says the cop that came with them to get the car back was working for the kid, or family.

first post

For everyone who cares, here is his information. Do what you want with it. Trust him, befriend him, avoid him. Frankly it doesn't matter to me, but he was/is a scammer.

We've banned many of his accounts on here, but he continues to sign back up and try to sell/trade his stuff on here. Craigslist and ebay seem like great alternatives, but he keeps coming back here.

Like I said, do what you want with this information. I'm just posting it b/c the other threads all have his banned SN's in the title, and new members will just look at the title and think nothing of it.

Anyways, here's some information. Nothing really new. I just consolidated all the information from the previous threads. Use it to make a decision for yourself.

Previous nc.org SNs:

Scams:

1) misrepresented the items he sent (i.e. broken)
2) tries to sell stuff he doesn't have (tool chests, rolexs, etc.)
3) pays you with paypal and then files for unauthorized use of said account.
4) using stolen credit card numbers (pretending to be those other people).
5) signed up under different SN's to give himself a positive trader rating, and to vouch for him.
6) pretends to be a lawyer, or threatens frivolous lawsuits.

Honestly, man up. I thought it was a prosecution/defense fund...not a food/shop money fund.

shop owner is a baby. shop looks like asshole in the pictures, needs a pity-party to bill his bills.

If the shop can't use all this publicity to get some new gigs, they really don't deserve to stay in business. I mean, how many shops would love to be so high profile and NOT because they are being sued.

Shopowner fail.

that's what im saying. the shop owner is a pussy. collected something like $1000 so far from people donating...so he can buy groceries...oh i mean "prosicute" Joe.

18psi 08-16-2008 02:24 PM

wow...he's collecting money from donations? ROFL

Stealth97 08-16-2008 02:27 PM

My .02...

This kid may be a scammer, and deserves to get locked up, but what shop owner would agree to do $16k worth of work for a teeniebopper without at least 30% down, especially if it depended on whether or not he could eat or not.

haaaaay guys I can afford to eat this week does someone want to donate me some money. e-beggar

ApexOnYou 08-16-2008 03:45 PM

I also really don't see how the kid is going to have to pay them anything legally. He never signed a work order, never signed a mechanics lien, doesn't even look like there is really any documentation. I know of a few people who have gotten screwed by customers because they neglected to get their signature on the work order for repairs, and when the customer showed up they said "Um I didn't sign anything. I'll take my car back now.", and what sucks is they can and will get it back eventually. Thats why I get so pissed off when I do a shit load of work on a customers car, and notice that the service writer neglected to get a signature on the work order. Lesson learned for JAPworks, be it an expensive lesson..

Ha! If the owner is stupid enough to not require any sort of deposit to start the job he's just stupid plain and simple. If he has no paperwork with everything important typed out BEFORE hand, signed, and multiple copies/files saved then he's a hack business man.

I skimmed about 5 pages and from what I read and other summary's of the story, it seems like the guys deserved to be taken for a ride. I mean I feel for them in the tiniest way possible, but really......that's just asking to get fucked. And by a shitfaced looking 20 year old kid? :roflcopter:

Seriously, have your ass covered with shit like that. I would dream to run a shop and my common sense would tell me to a) type out an estimate, b) get a deposit - 50% now and 50% later, c) have documents of work performed, d) enjoy sleeping at night

Also, being threatened by a dweeb and his mom is ultra lame. And then to top it off make it super public, promote your shop, and open a paypal account. Seems to me they are a finger bangin pair of ladies......sorry. :td:

^Agree 100%.
However, if the kid thinks he's getting that car back like it sits, he's out of his mind at this point. If for some reason the court sides with the kid, he'll probably get the car back exactly as he dropped it off... and that might include scratched paint, flat tires, gutted interior, bent suspension, etc...

Is it a harsh lesson for the shop... yes.
Do they deserve to lose their buiness over it... no.
Is the Paypal thing lame... yes.
Does JoeDomo deserve to spend a few weeks in the hospitol... yes.

Now that Joe's face is all over the internet, do think he might actually do some hospitol time in the future over this... yes.

Seriously, every forum-reading car-nut in the country knows your face... good luck.

Idunno, it seems like that would just make this matter worse by making JAPworks have to take everything back off, pretty much 2x the labor. I'm sure they would do it very "fast" ;) like you said though.
