I'd rather of eaten Red Lobster or Chilis. I did like the Nathan's Hot Dog I got at the airport on the way home.

I'm being pretty harsh. It wasnt all that bad, but there was some huge disappointments at a few places.

I dunno what/where we'll go next year, but the food is going to have a much bigger impact on the decision. But even the drinks were annoying me. They had a drink called a banana mama, it was pretty was rum, coconut juice, banana, grenadine, and pinapple juice. The first night I was there they were making them from scratch with coconut juice right out of the coconut they opened in front of you. They were great. Then the next I got from that night on, they were all just pre-mixed pina coladas with barely any rum in them, and they's just blend in a banana and some grenadine. I caught on quickly and started ordering drinks without mixes and just straight booze, but that was annoying. If I did get a fruity drink, I'd just ask for mas Malibu, MAS MAS MAS.

Awesome pictures, Braineack. I literally said "wow" out loud a couple of times. It looks like you had the beach to yourselves in some of those shots.

Sorry to hear about the experience with the food and drink. We had a similar experience with the one all-inclusive we did. The resort we stayed at had a number of restaurants and a lounge. The more casual places and the buffet were never very impressive but the "reservation" restaurants were at least above average.

I can also empathize with having to travel all day just to head down the East coast. We're in FL and still had to visit three airports to get to our Southern Caribbean destination.

Niceties aside...

 I take espresso, booze, and spelling very seriously.

Ouch, that's pretty bad.

The only thing for us is all the heavy food gets a bit old, we typically eat pretty healthy (to make up for the booze), but sitting on the beach and being drunk by 2pm makes up for it.

I'm usually good for one "sweet" drink a day, a dirty banana or something in the morning. But after that it's on to real liquor or I'll never get a buzz.

I just got back from my honeymoon in Jamaica on Saturday. We stayed at Secrets St. James in Montego Bay. I loved being all inclusive... before I complain, I must say it was a good trip... We had a lot of fun, and I think it was worth the price we paid.

That being said... If I could go back and do some research before booking, I would have picked a different location. Jamaica is scary. We left the resort to go zip-lining, and while that was fun and everything... getting to and from was a bit crazy. The food was mediocre at best. I drank my face off for free, so that was good. The entertainment was "Ok". I'm glad we only were there for 6 days.... We pretty much did the same thing every day/night.

I guess I was too young to remember Jamacia that much, I just remember eating raw sugar cane and climbing Dunn's River Falls. I stayed at the FDR Resort: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...h_Jamaica.html

I remember once being able to fish off the pier and they cooked it for my on the grill by the bar. That was cool. I also got braids put in my hair and went home and bought rollerblades soon after and my helmet wouldnt fit so I had to remove them.

As for PC, I do kinda regret not doing some sort of excursion, but getting up and napping all day in the sun has its perks too. All-and-all I had a blast and can't wait to travel more, the food was really the only dissapointment, so that's not too bad.

Thanks bro. I bought that lens just for this trip. Most of the shots were early in the morning or later when everyone was off, but at my area of the pool and the beach it was pretty desserted. I still have more I need to go through and tweak and upload.

I decided to spring to be a "club member" which gave us a private check-in area with food/drink 24/7 and a better pool/beach area. Since most 99%ers can't swing it like I can, it was very private and we much enjoyed that. The swim up bar area of the pool was crazy busy.

I also read Dan Brown's Inferno and Clive Clusser's The Striker during the trip if anyone cares. I've just started John Grisham's The Innocent Man...

Cruise ships seem to suck for the same reasons. Bad food, but lots of it, and watered down cocktails that won't even begin to let you feel anything. They pour water in the liquor bottles on the cruise ships. I've had straight up Bourbons that were obviously not just Bourbon and I watched the bartenders pour them. And I dislike crowds and noise, so I was screwed from the get-go.

The best island I ever went to was Anguilla. It was so serene.

Re: drinks. I bought a couple of fruity drinks with dinner a couple of times when I was at Disney World. I found that the first was pretty good, but fairly weak. Ordered a second and told the waiter the last one was weak. Next one: Holy Cow, all alcohol! Took a sip, where I must have made a face or something. Waiter took it back, brought another one (perfect) and proceeded to comp the drinks on the check. Naturally, the tip was larger than usual. This seemed to be the trend where ever we went. Although we never got the free drinks except on the one night.

One thing Disney has down pat is customer satisfaction.

Disney is like the ultimate in the service industry. see: Disney Institute, they seriously teach the world how to be like them.

their job is to create magic, and they are trained to do shit like comp your check or other little things that will make you stupid happy where it's really nothing to them. they are awesome.
