In one thread over there Don claims he 150k miles out of brake pads by downshifting before a turn. Its in the suspension forum titled something about Hawk brake pads


Very true - I generally get 150K or so out of stock pads. Some folks are harder on their brakes than others

I downshift before I turn and some times don't need to touch the brakes at all - When I do, it's seldom heavy braking. The guys who are frequently hard on the brakes into every corner are usually NOT the guys with the fastest lap times
