Are there any directly Miata-useful parts in it? I can't think of anything, really... Maybe the diff itself and halfshafts?

Anybody want an F20C that's had the crap kicked out of it?

flounder 03-08-2012 06:48 PM

vtec was too much for him to handle?

vehicular 03-08-2012 06:50 PM

It hits hard, son.

AP1?
Motor and drivetrain still serviceable?
What are your plans with it?

We're possibly looking for a cheap AP1

gearhead_318 03-08-2012 07:19 PM

If it is an AP1, they do tend to oversteer...

vehicular 03-08-2012 07:40 PM

AP1. Motor and drivetrain appear to be unhurt. I don't own it, just used to own it. I'll ask the kid what his plans are when he gets off work tonight.

I don't know the story, but he hit something hard square on the nose. I imagine he REALLY overcooked a stop and rear ended somebody in the rain.

This car actually handled very neutrally. It had a Saner front sway bar and 400lb front/300lb rear springs.

Does he work at a Pep Boys?

vehicular 03-08-2012 10:18 PM

He works at an O'Reilly, which is owned by Pep Boys, I think. Why?

Cool, thanks. If it's insured, please ask him to find out what the buy back is. This one might not go on the street again, but could still be used for science.
