Bought an automated pooper scooper. Cost was 140ish on amazon after taxes. Initial review.. the gap between the bottom/sides of the pan and the scooper are huge. Maybe 1/2-3/4" per side which I'm sure will leave poop. The other issue is the grate gaps are pretty large as well. Last but not least, the bottom has a metal bar which causes poop to get caught in the grate and won't come out.. IMO the grate should be open on the bottom so if poop does get caught, it can come out and then get picked up on the next pass.

Thanks all, we were able to pick him up before we left for vacation. Had him cremated so we could bring him home.
Meanwhile, our youngest has become lap kitty https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1a87ea028d.jpg |

Sorry for ruining everyones Friday...
Sometime before 2003 - 11:47am 8/2/24 RIP Cami https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...3c5ab9b42c.jpg Not sure if i ever told Camis story. We got Cami back in 2003 when i was a child (actually 12 years old). We already had 2 cats at the time (dee dee and frosty) and my mom wanted a 3rd. Se would regularly buy food and stuff for the local pound. So one day we were in there just looking at the cats my mom found Cami. She was in a bin located around this giant pillar and kind of out of the way of normal traffic. Nobody could really see her there. After speaking with the pound we found out that she lived with a little old lady that had died. Cami was an orphan with nowhere to go. They thought Cami was about 10 years old at the time and already had kittens. They were not going to give her much more time, maybe just a week before putting her down if someone didn't take her. So my mom opened the door to the cage and Cami walked out and fell asleep in her arms. There was no way we could resist taking her home. The earliest picture i can find is from around 2005, maybe one day i'll sort through actual picture book. Remember when we used to keep actual physical photobooks? That's how old this cat was. I moved out in 2007, she stayed with my mom, when my mom died in 2014 Cami came to live with me. Cami was loved by all. She was the sweetest most gentile soul. The most docile creature you can imagine. In over 20 years i never once witnessed her swipe at someone or something and hiss at someone or something maybe a total of 5 times. She was like a dog, just welcome to be around. Happy just to have friends around. Loved to get some of your food, sit on your lap and just spend time with you. In the garage, the gaming chair, on the couch, or laying in bed. Her favorite pastime was eating, sleeping, getting pets (okay i just described every cat ever). She loved to be outside when i was working on cars, or the boat, most of the time she would just hang out on the porch and relax. She was showered with love every single day, she ate $6 a can food (which is probably why she lived so long), was always comfortable, and had the best life any cat could have. I've got a million pictures and videos to remember our time together. But here are just a couple i could find quickly. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1e37d36e0d.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...409591caa8.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...ff518f048c.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...67c6057d3b.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...1ffa1ab88a.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...d0c5a9353a.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...c658789d17.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...f5545f8665.jpg |

R.I.P. B,B. kitty. So named, because everyone that saw him exclaimed, "what a big boy!" He was a very long-legged cat, and as fast as lightning.
He actually chose us when we went to the shelter to get a cat. Once let out of his cage, he jumped up on my wife, put his front paws on her shoulders and started rubbing her face. The decision was made. Aways an indoor/outdoor cat, he always came back around nightfall but preferred outside most days. He especially liked to be in his favorite chair on the porch when it was raining. After many years of thyroid pills incased in cream cheese, he stoped eating. Then two days ago stopped drinking. The vet just left after in-home euthanasia. I am more heartbroken than I have the words for. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...fa0a6f3705.jpg |
