At some point when my GF and I get a house will will probably have 10-cats and I'm not joking. We both want a herd.

Braineack Aug 31, 2011 03:24 PM

Im moving to TX to buy a large plot of land an open a cat farm.

phillyb Aug 31, 2011 03:39 PM

there is a women in california that has a ton of property. at one point she just started adopting cats who were going to be killed otherwise.
i can't find any info on her right now, but i saw a program on animal planet about her.
she has a few hundred, if not more roaming around her house and property. it was pretty interesting. given the money and land to do something like that, i'd do it in a heartbeat

Braineack Aug 31, 2011 03:41 PM

she relies on something like $40K in donations a month.

i first espired to open a cat farm when i watched some documentary on Roswell "crash" area 51 and one of the first responders was interviewed on his cat farm and it was eye opening...the cat farm that is, not the alien story.

Help me. I'm traveling a bit more now to see my GF on weekends, should I get another kitty? There is a prime candidate stray which my GF can pick-up like a baby. Should I be worried about bringing another wild cat into the house? Feral Polly is my current cat and she's a horrible bitch. She will square up to me and playfully attack. She's pretty territorial. However, the bitch is declawed and so will this next prospect.

What are your thoughts on getting an adult, male stray kitty and hoping they get along? I've toyed with the idea of getting a kitten that my cat can whip and dominate without much fuss. As long as the new cat follows my lead and does exactly what Polly says, she won't get hurt too bad.

Also, if you want a cat or kitty please let me know so I can give away some of these adorable strays.

I'll never understand why a cat lover would want their cats declawed. Get a different pet if you're not man enough to handle a cat.

Because my cats stay inside and I have nice shit I don't want them to destroy. They don't care at all that they have no claws. So win win.

I was concerned about it too. However my cat doesn't care, she gets to live in a 72*f house year round, nothing is going to eat her, she gets to boss me around, and I don't have to live in a house where everything is shredded and I stain furniture with my blood.

Which is more cruel, leaving a stray cat to fend for itself and dodge hawks or declawing a cat and giving it a 55" Samsung LCD with surround sound and a human to boss around?

phillyb Aug 31, 2011 04:20 PM

their claws are one of their only defense mechanisms. i don't think i'd ever get a cat declawed.

brain, i thought this woman didn't take donations, but i could be mistaken.

I am my kitties defense mechanism. I will crush anything (or shoot it with my SKS) for kitteh.

Honestly, they are not getting out of the house, so I don't see an issue.

phillyb, less nekkid weirdo, more kitties.

pdexta, that is a cool looking cat. Really nice coloring. Not so big on the snake thing, though.
