when you compete in a sport where appearance and style are considered (don't like), you do what you have to.

jon's wife is a huge HK fan. that's the start of it.

whether you like drifitng or not, jon's a terrific driver and a very good friend.

that car runs a 94/99 hybrid with a link and m62, 9k redline. it scoots.

 

I thought Marty dropped the 9k redline because it kills the bottom end and he's now just running the super? (maybe both...dunno).

Marty is legit, as ghey as you want to try and make it sound like he is, he's not. He's running hello kitty for two reasons.

One being his wife, the other is the same reason I had a transformers vinyl on my rear finish plate. A small example of wit, called Satire. Sometimes confused with sarcasm, satire is why having cheesey otherwise ghey **** is fun. Much like when you enjoy pointing out where you intentionally used zipties, not just because you are cheap.

Also, just throwing it out there, he is actually a professional driver unlike many computer chair racers out there on the internet.

 

His drifting backs up his hello kitty panels. If he wants to rock that ****, power to him. I won't be following in his footsteps but to each his own.

I saw the drift pics so props on that, but I was discussing his interior not his driving. Didn't realize so many fans were here, so my bad...

 

I think he's trying to be ironic and clever, it didn't work. IMO anyway.

Some might even say Drfiting is a satire of actual racing ... not that I would ever say that.

 

he is a cool guy, i dont know him persoanly, but i know some drifters who are associated with him..sort of, i dont know, but i think for a drift car, its perfect, no shame there, i think its hilarious, think about how non threatening a miata is, now take the same miata in pink :gay:...now add HK interior
