Default How to change your oil

It's been a while since they had a How-To thread on oil changes. Of course, it's in the NC section. MX-5 Miata Forum - Change Your Oil - Now!

Post #35 really got it for me.

"I found a local place that will take the oil - so...

I should get the oil plug washers from the stealership?

Do I need to get filter gaskets also or is that reusable?

Should I get a magnetic plug, keep the OEM or get the Fumoto?

Where to get the magnetic plug & which one?

Fumoto..found the thread.

inquiring minds

Looks like this guy needs to start looking for Mod # 58 and forget about working on the car. I'd rally love to see what the "57 mods" are.

Amazing. When I was 16 (almost 40 years ago) I may not have known how to replace ignition points, but I sure didn't need a primer on how to change oil.

I can't believe that thread started when the OP got tired of paying $75 for an oil change at the dealer on a NC. I can't fathom that they could even charge that and keep a straight face. It's a frigging Miata, not a Porsche. Of course, the Porsche guys would be lining up asking where they could get $75 oil changes.

M.net makes me slap my forehead, but NC owners are consistently the most retarded creatures on the face of the planet.
