well heres the thing, he is using the front water neck too which is pointless. He should be running 1 pipe from the back all the way to the radiator...

He's using the front water neck - with a lower temp thermostat in the front water neck.

Maaaaybe, maaaaaaaaybe you might be able to get some vaguely, tiny bit of improved cooling if you set it up all just right with a double thermostat system (But it wouldn't be worth the increased complexity!!). But he's set it up in just about the wrong way in every possible way.

I did my reroute with quality Begi parts for just a few dollars more than what Mr. Faggette is charging for his retard brackets.

Where did you read that? So wait hes using 1 thermostat at the back of the head.. and then another thermostat at the stock water neck location however the head is plugged at the front? In other words theres a straight pipe with 2 thermostats on each end...

https://www.miataturbo.net/showpost....5&postcount=32 bro

Or are you saying he runs no thermostat in the front of the head, and lets it run full flow full time?

I know he runs a lower temp thermostat in the front of the head as opposed to the back because he's talked about it before in other threads. Granted, he may have realized he went full retard in doing that since then, but YMMV.

Well you just need 1 thermostat, either at the front or at the back. The problem with the sensor at the front is that it will also be influenced depending on how hot that pipe is that "cools" the turbo manifold.

The front of the block is plugged. Meaning the only coolant coming out of the engine is in the back of the head. He then takes that coolant and routes it over the turbo manifold to the front mixing casting and he only uses the front as a mixing casting and nothing else. Then it goes to the radiator from there. What i dont know is where he puts the thermostat.. back of the head, or the front mixing casting or both...

He also does something completely stupid. Coolant goes from the front of the block to the back of the block and then up. Until that coolant goes UP, it does not pull away any heat. What this imbecile does is he takes the coolant from the 4th piston (BEFORE) it cools anything and runs it back to the water pump... REDUCING the efficiency of the cooling system.

The front of the block is plugged, and he went to all that effort to put in that water neck?

Yeah i dont know why hes using that fancy water neck instead of directly routing it to the radiator.

He probably should have made another fancy bracket that hangs off at the front bolt in the middle.

That way he can sell 3 for 150 bucks.

he believes that under the IM is sub-par and leads to failure issues.

No joke, he honestly believes people with the single upper hose w/two clamps rerouted under/beside/near the IM is bad. He claims he doesnt want to add heat to the IM and that there's too many failure points. remember, we all use a single hose from point a to b.

He believes it's far superior to route it next to the Exh. mani., through a heat sink right next to it, transfering heat from the exh. to the cooling system. It also routes through 3 sections and has a total of 6 clamps...way less failure points than 2.

at one points, not sure if he's still doing it, he added a second radiator after the heater core...he honestly couldn't graps the concept that the heater core is already a radiator that dumps a little heat from the cooling system. He called this idea, "the holy grail."

Somebody needs to read up on the definition of "trolling". Making sure the uneducated masses don't waste their money on this stuff certainly does not qualify.
