LOL, My bike makes as much power as some stock Miatas.

I was surprised too. My SV1000 just got off the dyno. It made 111.5 RWHP.
Some Miata's don't even make that, and that's just sad. That a V-twin with just over 1/2 the displacement of a miata made as much power. And don't tell me the bike motor is less reliable, the Suzuki V-twin is a stout motor that easily will run over 50k miles. Miata Weight:HP Ratio 8.27 Lbs/HP (8.95 Lbs/HP with me) SV1000 Weight:HP Ratio 3.85 Lbs/HP (5.56 Lbs/HP with me) Mark |
and what was the tq?

Peak power was at 117 MPH @ 10293 RPM 57 ft/lbs and 111.5 RWHP Peak Torque was probably at 100 MPH and was 59 ft/lbs at the rear wheel. It's pretty flat in it's delivery, at 60 MPH, the bike was making around 55 ft/lbs of torque @ 5252 RPM (Which coincidentally is 55 RWHP.) Even at 3500 RPM the bike is still making 44 ft/lbs of torque. Mark |
Weak.
J/K. It needs a turbo. |
well.....it revs to 11k :dunno:
i've been wantin a bike bad lately :hs: |
Nice. Mark, my Magna makes just a little more out of its 750 cc V4, but it took a lot of work and tuning to get there. My Shadow ACE makes about half that, out of its 1100 cc twin.
I'm going to see what I did with the charts... |
it's annoying most bike dynos never give you torque, i need to get mine inspected but i'm too broke for tires

That's impressive, I've never been on a bike that had serious amounts of power. I think the most I've had was 45hp. I bet it is one awesome ride.

My 2002 R6 put down 98hp from a 15,000rpm 600cc engine.

http://photos-h.ak.facebook.com/phot...47151_8494.jpg Ya, the SV1000 is actually a weak liter bit to be honest, but I knew that going in. It had what I wanted though, which was a linear motor that made good torque. Did most everything well enough. I am actually surprised that the SV made more power than your 600. Mark |

i raise you like 5hp and 1000rpm :giggle:
My brother rides a R6. I can pull on him in my miata. Just not enough torque there. Too bad they don't have something between the R6 and R1. |

i raise you 35hp and 4K less RPM:giggle:600s and 750s don't have enough low end torque for my liking

+1, usable torque is the way to go, though for purely aesthetic reasons I prefer Italian twins

I seriously would like to be on par with the Aprilia Tuono R with regards to power, which would be around 120 RWHP. |

My goal is to get another 10 RWHP out of this bitch, which means I need to find 5 ft/lbs of torque... lol, On the other hand, how long would a 10 lb nitrous bottle last with a 10 shot... (ok that was stupid!!!)
