Looking for Good Torque Wrench
 

Long story, but I am now looking for some bullet proof torque wrenches, 1/2", 3/4", and 3/8" might be nice to have all actually, anything comparable to snap-on without selling my soul. Any ideas?

You get what you pay for. Buy Harbor Freight, and plan on getting another set, sooner or later depending on how much you use them. My small one (1/4") has lasted, but that's because I rarely use it. The 1/2" broke (internal pin sheared) after less than a year. And I don't even use them all that much anyway.

Or, get a decent one, and pay through the nose. But it should be the last one you ever have to get.

I have the HF 3/8" and 1/2", have used them both many many times, and they're still "fine" for my purposes.

Seriously, though, some guy took a HF wrench and put it on a fancy torque wrench calibrator and found it was very accurate. I can't speak for their accuracy over time, but out of the box I guess they're ok. I have a few, which have held up better than the other off brand one I got at Autozone.

I have a 1/2" Craftsman and 3/8" Craftsman, the smaller reading in in/lbs.

i also need a 1/4" for small stuff, if anyone has any cheap suggestions that are actually decent post up. yes i know i could get a digital snap-on but i can't justify it
