Lost nut in Boost gauge

You know the little thing that slipps over the vacume line so that it will hold when the nut is put in place? Well long story short, its gone. Im sure people loose this thing all the time. Is there any place i can get a new one or something else that will work?

You can find that piece in any PepBoys or Autozone in the parts section with all the nuts/accessories, if not they should also have it at Home Depot/Lowes in the plumbing section. I lost mine as well. You need that as it crimps when you put on the nut and creates a seal.

I bought 15ft of black silicone hose to handle all my vacuum lines. Are you using the clear hard plastic line that came w/the boost gauge. I bought a barb fitting for the gauge and run straight off the manifold... that way you don't have to screw with the stock crap hardware that came with the boost gauge.

i believe those things are called feroles or something like that, hardware stores carry them for making small water connection on refridgerator and stuff like that

I beleive what he is looking for is the nut for the compression fitting. Was able to pick up the needed hardware at Part Souce, which is your run of the mill Nation wide chain store.

Yeah, the compression fitting is readily available. I picked up a few at parts source... since I always end up needing to replace it whenever I pull the gauge out of the vent hole to get the radio surround off.....

Just take some vac hose in with you to get the right size....

The nut that goes over top, should be available too... it's just a standard compression fitting, but I have no idea what the thread pitch is. <G>
