I will try to remember to get pictures for you this evening then. I'm not in a rush so I can send mine and have you send yours back in the same box.

It's tempting, but my right hand is still pretty messed up- I can barely get the transmission into 5th, and I can't grasp the steering wheel with my right hand at all- I'm definitely not in good enough shape to be doing a group run.

Well that was easy.

While I'm asking, anybody have the battery tie-down brackets and a stock 5-speed shift ****?

Y8s, If Joe doesn't want the Voodoo, I may be interested in it.

Definately don't want a Voodoo, but I'll take any stocker. (Did the NB and NA even use different shift ***** aside from the little cosmetic touches like leather trim?)

... and a battery hold-down bracket. Most important thing I'm missing.

Unfortunately not.
It seems the thin plastic hinge on my center console lid is broken. The metal hinge is still holding it, but the lid sits at a bit of an angle. It's fixable but I figure you're looking for something nicer.

Joe is crazy to want to downgrade to the 99-00. Everyone jumps on the 01+ consoles like hotcakes because of that reason alone (hinges break on the 99-00's as if they were designed to). Its a pretty easy fix though, so you guys may have a deal yet.

I have a 99-00 console. Cosmetically, a 10/10 with properly repaired hinge if you don't work out a deal with gesso.

Given that I just purchased a rust-free '04 (with an '04 engine), I really have no interested in a rusty '99 with a '95 engine.

But thanks anyway.

If you want to get rid of it and it's not just peeling off, these are really awesome for removing pinstripes: Pinstripe removal tool
The pinstripe peeled right off with minimal effort, and left no residue. Felt like it was made from black electrician's tape. Sadly, the installer used a razor blade, against the paint, to put the diagonal finish on the ends, so I need a clear coat pen to touch that up. (*******.)

It was water from under the kitchen sink, not bathwater.

Everything else is correct.

I have sent you $5 via Paypal.

Took the car in for its state inspection today, and while it was on the lift I got under there and felt around a bit. Exhaust is solid, control arms and coilovers are solid, mounts are solid, rear brake calipers are... rattling.

Not sure whether the problem is the slider pins or the bushings in the calipers, but between the two of them they're as loose fitting as a medium-sized ***** in Hustler's anus. The brakes work fine and are quiet when applied, but when slack, the calipers are just flopping around. Never seen anything like it.

Removed the seat covers this morning, and apparently I underestimated the damage to the stock leather:

So those are gonna need to get re-done sooner than expected. With my hand still far from 100%, I think I'll just find a local shop and pay someone else to do both the seats and the top at the same time.

Also, I forgot about this gem:

Always swore I'd never be one of those people to own a car with an aftermarket warm-air intake kit. The filter appears to be genuine K&N, but without a drop of oil on it.

Oiled-cotton air filters upstream of a hotwire MAF; yea or nay?

I meant bath water more in the temperature of the water being used than the exact location of the sourcing.

Thank you for correcting me though.

As long as isn't it over-oiled it should be just fine.

It's when they are excessively oiled that it gets through the element and onto the MAF element.
