Default Matte Finish

Anyone else think this looks good? I'm probably painting my track car blue like that Lambo.

I love matte finish. I've been wanting to paint my car matte red for a while

For what it's worth, here's a few pictures of my car - Rustoleum Flat Black. It came this way from the previous owner. I like it, but I'm ready for something new - planning on repainting the car in the next few months.

it looks great we just shot a 67 camero in matte black but a warning it is more exspensive than a regular paint job.

IMO the car has to have a certain look to it for a matte finish. Some cars just don't look right with it.

I came close to having my car sprayed that same color as the blue subie in the pictures. I'm glad I didn't now, but it almost happened.

Play around with PS before you decide on anything. It really helps give you an idea of what the car will look like in the end.

The silver Porsche, black GTR and Lambo all pull it off.

The red Carrera GT is just wrong IMHumbleO.

I've heard it's more work to keep looking good. Not sure if there's any truth to that...as I can't imagine anything being worse than gloss black.

Do it. It's a track car, so just paint it whatever. I almost painted my sunburst yellow one tennis ball green, but I have always wanted a sunburst....

I am thinking about being the next front runner in hip/jive paint jobs and get my bass boat type metalic paint job on my track car. Either that or UPS brown in laquer enamel. That's how you know it's good.

That 240/Silvia looks terrible. Some of the more satin finishes don't look too bad.

Dark colors look pretty good in matte finish, lighter colors not so much. There is a local GTR redone in matte finish and it looks dead sexy with the bronze wheels on it. Primer or flat black, fine for a track rat or if you are about to get it painted.

+1 for satin, not dead flat. Satin gives it a warm glow vs looking like primer.
