Care to elaborate? I'm an ex-1.8T owner and I don't understand your comment of "programmed turbo lag". If by limiting the boost to 11.6 psi is what you mean? Peak torque occurs soooo low in the RPM range on the 1.8Ts (under 2500 RPM) I don't see how they programmed turbo-lag? Have you ever logged a boost request curve on a 1.8T?
