Sweet garage, is that at your place?

Atlanta93LE 11-14-2007 07:13 AM

I want your garage. How does the vinyl tile floor compare to epoxy-coated?

fourwhls 11-14-2007 07:45 AM

Yes it's my garage.

Vinyl > Epoxy

I have epoxy on the floor in my front garage attached to my house. I put in down 3 years ago and the areas where my wife and I park are coming up. If I were to do it again, it would be tile up front also. Plus tile was slightly cheaper.

Nice ass garage! You and your wife both have Miatas? Lucky..

Where's the yellow car's rad?

fourwhls 11-14-2007 08:32 AM

Only one Miata in my household. The yellow car is my track/autocross toy. It doesn't see much street use. We have other vehicles for daily driving. The black car is one that my buddy and I bought last weekend.

The radiator is sitting on the workbench. I just picked up one of the godspeed radiators and haven't installed it yet.

He doesn't need a rad he's got WI! right Magna?

Just because there isn't a FMIC, don't assume NA!

Loki047 11-14-2007 09:39 AM

where are you at? (so i can come use your garage)

SloS13 11-14-2007 09:48 AM

Damn your garage is pimp. I want to smell your hair.

I wish before I moved all my crap into my garage I would have tiled the floor.

Splitime 11-14-2007 09:57 AM

Where are you generally located? I'm curious as to the weather you see... ie: north and cold or south and warmer (in winter).

I want to use vinyl for my garage floor... but am worried about it pulling/shrinking in the cold months.

Zabac 11-14-2007 10:02 AM

sweet bejesus, if i did something like that id need to take out a second mortgage, lol
NEWBSAUCE-dont you know, he is running a DEI set up

firedog25 11-14-2007 10:28 AM

Definitely a nice floor in your garage. Thanks for the tip on the tile vs epoxy. I want to refinish my garage and that looks like the ticket. :)

fourwhls 11-14-2007 10:30 AM

I am in SE VA, Chesapeake.

We got lucky with the garage. We bought the house with it already there. The previous owner had the garage built to store his RV. I put the floor and the lift in, but the structure was already there with a 100amp service wired in. :D

The funny thing is that when we bought the house, the appraisal only went up $3k for the garage. The concrete slab was more than that! I am guessing it cost him close to $50k to have it built.

Newbsauce 11-14-2007 10:39 AM

If it doesnt have a FMIC, its not going fast enough IMO! The exception being those WI hoes. As for the house, when its for sale, I demand dibs.

Atlanta93LE 11-14-2007 10:50 AM

I'm looking at a house with a similar situation. I'm trying to convince the wife it isn't the garage that caught my eye ;)
