Miata Journal - it is the unpaying gay
 

Just a note to anyone considering working with Miata Journal. My car was featured in a past issue but my photographer has never been paid. Photo shoot was six months ago. So if you're considering dealing with them get your money up front. I posted in M.net about ensuring bills get paid and asked Gary about this. My post was deleted and I was told this was an issue between Craig and myself which isn't true as I never had money on the line.

An additional note that I've had two threatening phone calls and my photographer and myself threatened with a lawsuit because we've asked why bills aren't being paid. So buyer beware.

The owner of this publication is a prick at best. After reading issue #1, I emailed him about the "left page content, right page ad" layout, I said I don't mind having many ads, but try another layout. That quickly escalated to a "you don't know shit about publications" type discussion etc. Also, Bill Wilner of miataroadster.com, who used to be the Editor, no longer works for that mag, that speaks volumes. Won't be reading again.

While I wont delete the thread, it certainly isn't our problem so its locked.

No one on this forum should be duped into dealing with MJ (heh), so it's better we just don't ever talk about them at all, period.
