Miatas on Mythbusters
I would have liked to see them try the hollow variety of caltrops, lets air out of the tires a lot faster.
I think at one point Adam said, "... fagging around the course..." or something. May just have been the captioning, though.

Exactly what I thought about the spikes. I also think a few people out there now realize that Miatas are RWD
Cool to see them at Fort Ord too, I lived just 5 minutes away from where they were filming as of December '09.

I watched last night and the whole time I was mad they were destroying them... I wonder what they did to the cars after the show... And that oil trap was pretty cool I wanna do it to my car
The only thing I was thinking, was they used a professional driver to drive the TA. In the real world, you aren't going to be chased by a 30 or whatever year veteran who is a professional driving instructor. You will be chased by joe smoe with some half-*** experience who would hit a slick of oil and would spin out...or would hit those giant spikes at a much greater speed. I mean come on, have you ever watched cops?
I think they should have had a regular cop in the TA and the mythbusters in the miatas.

The parachute was just plain stupid. Dumbass. Should have used some military smoke instead. The other guys first spikes should have been tire strips of course. The 2nd spikes were better but needed to be a little larger. Biggest problem I had with the 2nd spikes, if you are trying to get away from someone why would you want them to pull up next to you? Kinda like in Pineapple Express in the car chase when he just stops expecting her to just drive by.
That was pretty awesome actually. Anyone notice Adam talking about "Here I am Fagging around this course as *Insert drivers name here* is chasing me around like a lion playing with its food..." lol.
The idea behind the huge spikes wasn't to have them next to you stopped I don't think, it was just his little after thought. They needed to be much larger with explosives...
