Did anybody go see Coulthard drive around downtown for the promo shoot?

Why in the hell ship all the cars, trucks, support stuff to Canada. Then BACK to Europe only to come to the USA again? I don't get it... I guess Brazil is after but it's still farther than Montreal is from Austin.

Time to make hotel reservations again. Bah! I already had everything worked out for the June date, now to cancel and try again. November will be good though, weather should be quite nice.

My sister and I rented a house down there for this weekend but I don't know how much tickets are and I'm not paying $200 to watch a race.

So the track is in the back of a neighborhood? http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=...-8&sa=N&tab=wl

I called a couple hotels and they all said they won't be taking reservations until closer to the date. I think we may just drive the bus out there, since it will sleep the six of us fairly comfortably. I just wonder where we are going to park this damn thing for the weekend. I wouldn't imagine an RV pass would be cheap.

Save that trip for V8 Supercar. You guys are going to see me rolling on the ground, crying, drunk because I want one so bad. I can be pure white-trash for that race, right? It is 300lb V8 boats. I've been working on my Days of Thunder Quotes for that race.

I'm honestly more psyched for MotoGP than F1.

Seems like Canada-US-Brazil would be a more logical order, however F1 doesn't seem to be big on saving money, despite what they say.

I think average temperatures in Texas this Summer scared the $%^&* out of the Europeans. Tire provider would likely need a special hard-compound if they held the race in Austin in the heat. Plus, heat would dampen attendance.

In any case, I'm planning to go (if I can get tickets). Woohoo!! November's a great time of year here.

So wait, V8 Supercars are DEFINITELY going to be in Austin too?

Wow. Didn't NASCAR say they're trying to bring DTM to the states too?

Love V8 Supercars. Combination of Rugby and F1. Plus, I own a Poncho G8 GT.

C'mon down!! Water's warm (that is, if you can find water . . . and then it is really more like hot . . .). We recently raised some speed limits to 85 just to **** off liberals. There are more jobs here than most places too.

Like they say, wasn't born here but got here as quickly as I could.

Actually, I liked living in Idaho a lot too . . . just not many jobs.
