Mistake while filling out title.

What happens if you check the wrong box while filling out a title.

Can you white it out, or once you mark something wrong you are basically boned?

Idiot on my bikes title marked the box that says "mileage exceeds physical limits".

I mean I personally don't give a shit if it says that on the new title, but better to not have it.

UrbanSoot 09-03-2009 05:36 PM

nah, you can use white-out

How sure are you about this?

hustler 09-03-2009 06:00 PM

you're fucked and in texas this means you have to get a lawyer. My green miata is stricken with "total mileage unknown" because the dumb whore and her illiterate boss at the title office can't tell the difference between a 4 and a 9 in 143,000 miles. I hope that bitch is dead.

NA6C-Guy 09-03-2009 06:03 PM

 They take title info pretty serious here too. Messing up is bad, just have to do it right the first time.

The previous owner made a mistake on the title of a car I bought (in Florida) and the DMV said I had to fill out a bunch of paperwork and get the previous owner to sign it and have it notarized. I don't think the white out will work unless you run into someone in a really good mood at the dmv, and good luck w/ that.

For my bike, I tried to fix the title with whiteout because the dumbass before me wrote his name in the wrong place. When I handed it to the lady at the title office, she tore me a new one about how illegal using whiteout on a title is.

Whiteout doesn't work in TX. Prob not in NY either.

I had to get a signed and notarized from the seller that stated that box wasn't supposed to be checked.

What if I have a bill of sale?

At the moment I think fuck it and just give it the way it is, the seller was a made flaky character that never answers his email and I could never get him to help me with this.

Saml01 09-03-2009 11:13 PM

What if you can no longer contact the seller, the vehicle is in your possession and all you got is the bill of sale?

Stein 09-03-2009 11:17 PM

You might be able to use reason and convince then that your little 197x bike CAN'T have over 100K on it.

UrbanSoot 09-03-2009 11:59 PM

ive had a mistake on a title and i was told by dmv rep to just use white out

clay 09-04-2009 07:52 AM

I had a friend who got lucky and just marked through the error and put the SELLER'S initials beside it (forged so I wouldn't suggest it), but that was in a small town in Ga. Here in Florida, it's gotta be signed and notorized if there are ANY corrections at all.

You fill out the paperwork yourself, then find a crackhead notary that will notarize anything for $20.

UrbanSoot 09-04-2009 12:58 PM

ups/fedex shipping places can notarize anything and they are like $15

I found a crack head notary on the same plaza where the DMV is. I saw he was a mad chill character, had I known I would have done it but I didnt have a computer or paper at hand to do it out in the car. Plus, I went to staten island to get it done, and that would mean crossing the bridge again for another 10 bucks. So I said fuck it and submitted it as is. Ill correct it later.

... AND he charged me 4 bucks for the notary cause I didn't have 5.

Also, had no idea penn titles needed to be notarized.

I dont know if its possible to say this, but I love the staten island DMV. ill cross the bridge 10 times before I go to the ------ ridden place in brooklyn that has a thousand people in it at any given moment, smells like urine, and any dmv transaction down to the simplest takes 3 hours minimum. I was in and out today, including the walk to get the shit notarized, in 45 minutes.

Quoted to show what a racist fuck you are.

You dont need to quote me, ill flat out say it. I hate lazy niggers that take advantage of the system.

You were given a job, a good one, a guaranteed one with all the benefits you can dream of, yet you do everything in your power to abuse the people who come to you, sometimes begging for help.

Do you hate all niggers or just the lazy ones? Your ignorance astounds me.

jdmaddox88 09-05-2009 12:25 PM

I think it's pathetic that someone will still use the word ------ to classify a group of people. Why take that extra step to highlight and focus on their race with such a derogatory term? Is laziness an attribute exclusive to black people? No it isn't. In fact I'm fairly sure there are as many lazy white people leaching off the system.

You could have just referred to them as what they are, lazy unemployed leaches. There is no need whatsoever to bring in the race card and in doing so you only show yourself up for the deep seated racist that you are. I wish there were more people like you.
