Personally i bet money i could take a well cut sirloin and score better than 90% of the filet mignon setups people produce, and even alot of resteraunts. But then agian i have cooked a whole **** laod of steak in my day.
That was the most readable post I've ever seen from you. Good job. You must really like steak.

That is truly FTW! A guy where I live does it marinated in tequila with lime, and stuffed with freshly grated horseradish. Absolutely amazing!

i hate to say it but cows aren't supposed to eat grains... it's like feeding yourself candy and mcdonalds your whole life.

actually I like me a good buffalo/bison steak. there's a few farms between nova and shenandoah that sell them at some of the DC farmers markets. damn tasty and any cut you want.

Best steak I ever had was at Dolce at Atlantic Station, dry-aged filet mignon IIRC.

Though Carrabbas' "sirloin marsala" is always good.

Eat steak, eat steak eat a big ol' steer
Eat steak, eat steak do we have one dear?
Eat beef, eat beef it's a mighty good food
It's a grade A meal when I'm in the mood.

Cowpokes'll come from a near and far
When you throw a few rib-eyes on the fire
Roberto Duran ate two before a fight
'Cause it gave a lot of mighty men a lot of mighty might

Eat steak, eat steak eat a big ol' steer
Eat steak, eat steak do we have one dear?
Eat beef, eat beef it's a mighty good food
It's a grade A meal when I'm in the mood.

Eat meat, eat meat, filet mignon
Eat meat, eat meat, ear it all day long
Eat a few T-bones till you get your fill
Eat a new york cut, hot off the grill

Eat steak, eat steak eat a big ol' steer
Eat steak, eat steak do we have one dear?
Eat beef, eat beef it's a mighty good food
It's a grade A meal when I'm in the mood.

Eat a cow, eat a cow 'cuase it's good for you
Eat a cow, eat a cow it's the thing that goes "Mooooo"

Look at all the cows in the slaughterhouse yeard
Gotta hit'em in the head, gotta hit'em real hard
First you gotta clean'em then the butcher cuts'em up
Throws it on a scale throws an eyeball in a cup

Saw a big Brangus Steer standing right over there
So I rustled up a fire cooked him medium rare
Bar-B-Q'ed his brisket, a roasted his rump
Fed my dog that ol' Brangus Steer's hump

Eat steak, eat steak eat a big ol' steer
Eat steak, eat steak do we have one dear?

Speaking of cheap eats, in college, I'd get the "pizza special". It wasn't really a lot of food, just a slice of greasy pizza and a HUGE soda. Well, I found that if I got something like cherry coke and add it to the grease from the pizza, I wasn't so much full as just too SICK to think of eating anymore, for hours.

That's when I realized this is America, no one starves. The point of eating is not to stay alive, but to fight off hunger for as long as possible on as few dollars as you could swing. And when you're sick, you're not hungry.

On weekends, yeah, tri-tip and quantum mechanics. With Jalepeneo/suasage/cheese toothpicks for appetizers. Always study at the house of the married guy. :-)

i prefer outback's 16oz prime rib, med. rare ftw.

Theres a restaurant in North charleston (if anyoen is local) called Berks (sp.?) that sells 36 oz. steaks, that thing was huge and almost needed a chainsaw to get all the way through, needless to say my shirt was drenched in "steakjuice" by the end of the meal
