The GT is the next one I'm buying... GT for "Giga-Thrower".
The GT, now just waiting relaxed for improved reflector, the BLF special giga thrower | BudgetLightForum.com It's still in the development stage, but there are a few prototypes out there being run through the paces by those involved. I'm on the waiting list and have paid my $14 deposit. |
Lalalalalalalalala.....paying no attention.
I have a q8 in my shopping cart at banggood. Hate u :fawk: |
sam, we really don't need these things.
there's more important things to be doing when it's dark outside. like video games and liquor and nookie. |
I bought (4) identical 300 lumen lights off amazon for $15 (total). sadly they are brighter than my redline.

EAH BABY!!!! VERY GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
So my new GT arrived. It's like the laser version of an actual flashlight. It's raining right now and the air is a little thick, so can't really perform a good test. Also, my batteries haven't arrived, so I had to rob both my Q8's to come up with the 8x1650's that this beast requires. Initial impression is "holy shit". It might be a week or three until I can get the Nikon out and put everything on tri-pods to do some actual performance evals, I'm definitely going to have to notify base security when I do, because this place is sleepy as hell and there's no way to fire this thing up to max and not illuminate something I probably shouldn't. Even just going down to the beach is problematic, since the airfield is line-of-site from the sand. Pics of the new beast and of my modest collection of "good" lights for comparison. Those shoes are size 13's. Attachment 230404 Attachment 230405 Attachment 230406 |
