I know the feels. Two days later I went out and did the same ride with some friends. It hurt for me to sit down for the rest of the day after that. Also.....
I have terrible project ADD. Decided it was a good idea to tear apart my only stock/reliable vehicle. Twelveish vehicles and only one is currently tagged and driveable.

Finally bit the bullet and got some upgrades for the FZ-09. First is a Competition Werkes integrated tail light, looks much cleaner than the cheap LED strips the previous owner installed for turn signals on the passenger foot pegs.
Again the previous owner used those cheap adhesive backed LED light strips to illuminate the plate. To replace those I used a LED bolt from Amazon to light up the license plate frame.
I was a little worried the smoked lens wouldn't be bright enough but it is brighter than the OEM tail light! I'm on the fence about the LED bolt for the license plate frame, it acts like a spot light at night.
Now for some non-ricer goodies....Stoltec fork revalve and an Ohlins S46DR1 shock. I've been sitting on the fork revalve kit for a month or two while I saved some pennies for the shock.
I used the "10 Minute" installation method using a rear stand, scissor jack and a block of wood. The idea is you do NOT have to remove the gas tank...and it worked surprisingly well. The jack sits on the rear tire and pushes up on the subframe to unload the suspension to let you remove the bolts. It takes a little work but I had the shock installed in about 1 hour. The shock absolutely transforms the bike and was worth every penny. Going to have a friend do the fork kit for me very soon and have everything dialed in.

Luggage installed.
I also installed a GPR stabilizer. Interested in seeing how much of an improvement it makes.
Thinking of picking up a tank bag to complement the rest of the luggage (backpack not pictured). I can't find one i like though.
Can't wait for summer.

I did notice a difference. Anything between 0-10 made little to no difference. I am probably going to have to continue to adjust it to find the sweet spot.

It was in the 60s today so I slapped it all back together real quick so I could go for a ride.
Not really that happy with how the cluster mount turned out. I angled it too far back so it's kinda hard to see parts of it. Also the headlight sucks big ones at night but kinda expected that from a $30 ebay light. Probably will replace it with a led one if I decide to keep it this way. Can definitely feel the extra aero drag from no fairings. Needs a lot more throttle to do 65-70.

To me it looks like the motorcycle with the american flag was having some issues with his clutch, and the green motorcycle stayed to help him.

The tour groups on rental hardleys do crap like that all the time here in the SW. 30 bikes in formation, 10 under the speed limit, crash/luggage van bringing up the rear. Really sucks on a 2 lane when you're not on a bike... no way to pass.
When I'm on the bike I find they get pretty irritated when you treat them like slalom cones...

Bought a pit bike. Guess i'm a grom Bro now. 
Rigged up a HF trailer with some ramps, dragged the little thing to VIR. 
happy! 
Cant hit up VIR with out some trigger time. 800 yards 60ft in the air. yes, i hit the steel a few times.

Well its happening... I'm flying into Phoenix saturday morning (5/14) and picking up the bike monday morning. Planning on riding all week and returning it friday afternoon. All my friends bailed so I'm scrapping the ride I had planned and going to try something different. Maybe wander up towards utah unless someone has a better idea?
