Wow, with a mod list like that you'd think there'd be a hint of intelligence in that intercooler design

Reminds me of that crx that had the turbo mounted right above the driver side headlight. Anyone have a pic?

My contractor has the same setup on his F250, but without the intercooler.

I like were the air filter is located. All that heat from the manifold must give him all that HP

+1

But just WTF is with the bumper?! I would do pit maneuvers with something like that, and that intercooler must take some serious damage due to everyone touching that. Let alone debris.

It looks like a perfect candidate engine to swap into a Geo.

haha, this is so funny. This car was at the shop here in town and my friends help him tune it on the dyno. Still gets talked about every now and then.

Such a broad power band too. Why, it makes over 50% of its power at just 4500 RPM

Every time I see one of those old hatches turbo, they have a giant intercooler and no bumper, rice...even with 400hp...rice.

Tuned at thru 22psi (415whp). Daily driven 6psi ~ 180whp
1.6L spinning a T4 is FTL. 6psi street tune with a huge turbo that only makes boost from 7-8000 rpms. Why even have it turbo'd? Big *** ghey intercooler out front and it can't get out of it's own way with his street tune. I bet he loves getting dusted from stoplights by fat guys on mopeds and old ladies in mini vans.
