Default Bow hunting

I started hunting last year (rifle) and decided to get into bow hunting this year so I picked up a bow yesterday. Got a g5 quest hammer. Right now I am just going after white tail but am thinking about bear since my grandpa has a black bear around his place getting into trash and stuff.

I haven't even got to sight the bow in yet, but it will be about 2 weeks before i can make it back in the woods so no rush yet.

Anyone else into bow hunting?

So you're gonna hunt black bear with a bow you have just bought and rarely used? Have someone record this and post it here afterwards.

Actually my bow is a jennnings buck master from like 1988 but I don't care, I can split arrows with it. This means something to me. It doesn't matter if you have a 1945 m1 garand or a 2002 m1 garand. If you can hit a target consistently, then why upgrade? This is how I live my miata turbo life. If my car is 112ci and with my little 56mm compressor wheel turbo, I beat ls1 camaros and beat every import I race, then why should I upgrade?

Black bears really aren't aggressive.... They remind me of overgrown coyote's in their actions

How about you just watch the animals instead of maiming them with your shittily aimed shots?

Love the bowhunting. Still shooting a 15 year old Golden Eagle Carbine Hawk. Still kills deer, but I'm itching for an upgrade. Maybe next year.

Because we and starvation are the only two ways to thin the population.

I do hope the OP gets more comfortable with the bow before he tries sighting in his first kill. It's uprising how much you shake when your heart is racing like it does in that situation.

Default Bowhunting in africa

Hey there from a bowhunter fiendly South Africa!

Very glad to see allot of the same interrests on the forum!
I am also a avid Bowhunter for about 9 years now and shot eveything from a pse vengeance, hoyt alphamax, mathews fx,bowtech tomcat, bowtech allegiance(Really like the bowtech cause they perform as advertised and smooth like college girl's ***),and finally found a setup now with a good thump in it....
Bowtech 82nd airborne and some trophy taker arrows, spot hog sight, limb driver vapor trail, and AWESOME RAGE 2 BLADES!runnin 75lbs draw weight 316 fps with a 455 grain arrow about 101 kinetic foot pounds........enough to stop a tank!

I've shot alot of animals and some decent sized stuff (eland ,kudu, hartebeast, oryx etc),and can honestly tell you to let a arrow fly on that bear with atleast 60lb draw and 350+ grains on the arrow cause the predator type animals like youre bears and lions cheetahs and leopards over here are deffinitly not as big and hard boned as the stuff like for instance youre elks and bison which need a far stronger and efficient setup atleast 85 + foot pounds!BUT REALLY BE SURE OF YOURE SETUP AND CONFIDENCE IN IT CAUSE **** GETS REAL WHEN THAT ARROW HITS THE *** ON A BIG GAME ANIMAL,AND YOU WONT END UP WITH WIINY THE POO BEAR!

just my

heres a pic of me and this years nicest harvest..

lol typical libtard that doesn't know the finer points and reasons behind hunting and why it's allowed.

Hoyt Trykon shooting 325fps - nasty with some rage 2 blades. Went hunting this past weekend, squirrels pissing me off so I shot one on my way out of the woods - at 20yds and cut it in half - literally. I should have took a pic.

Got "the Truth" made by Bear for Primos. 90 grain 3 bladed razor insert Muzzy's, at about 315 fps. Good for everything legal in the northwest including elk and moose!
