Default I drove a

Seeing how NOTHING is happening. I will start something.
I got to drive a 2000 with the Begi series 4 at 12psi making 255rwhp. It was insane. There's just something about the rear end getting squirrelly in the middle of 3rd gear while on an on ramp that puts a smile on my face.

Hmmm, and to add to that, with a full 3 inch exhaust, it would spool if you even thought about it.

I've seen it on you tube. But how do they do it? Must be stroked and built with enough boost to sail a fleet. 536 hp was what his dyno said. It sounded great too. You would need ear protection for the neighbors. Lol

I am sorry this is so off topic, but are the 1999+ engines making more HP at the same PSI then 1994 - 1997 engines?

nothing special about the DP.

The series 4 has a tubular manifold.

I was out drivin mine today for the first time in months. Dialing in the 15psi tune with my newly working LSD. Having the rear end step sideways at 5000rpm in a 2nd gear roll-on doesn't get old. If I do it enough maybe I can finally justify buying some 15x8 Rota RBs in gold.

I rode in Dennis' 617 RWHP Miata before its motor went in a tube chassis miata. Spun through every gear, and was ridiculous fast. Unsafe fast. Kinda so fast that I swore off ever even wanting a miata with over 300RWHP. He runs low 9's and High 8's now in the 1/4 with the same motor and a NB Tube Chassis. (T-66 Turbo and all, he may be using a different one now) Hes also got a powerglide type transmission in there now.

I just meant it might have a bigger turbo than the typical Begi kit if it's a series 4.

Hahah no you don't. There's a 50 percent chance of it starting everytime you turn the key. It idles funky most likely due to a vacuum leak with that damn CIS fuel injection system. It's slower, doesn't turn as hard either. Shifter throws like you're driving a bus.

Hmmm, but it definitely turns heads when you're out driving.

Damn that sucks, I know you can sink a small fortune into those things trying to get them running proper. I'd be more for some sort of swap myself. Pretty well aware of what they really are, but just something about the car... Looks like a big slinky turd rolling down the street and I love it!!
