Suddenly I hate this car, because I can't figure out which direction to go with the turbo build.

I hated it when I couldn't get it running, but I fixed it yesterday so now I love it again!

Time to go fix my manifold-turbo leak problem. I broke a Grade 8 stud yesterday.. gotta drill that out..

So walk away, this is a hobby. If its not relaxing or fun, drop it till you want to work on it again. Its not a job or commitment.

When i was doing my turbo kit everything hardware was done, but I didn't feel like fixing some oil leaks in my line or installing the emanage so i ripped it all down installed the stock exhaust and drove around and had a blast.

Its never to late to go back.

Dude hustler no one is forcing you into a high powered miata if it doesnt feel right dont force it. You are obviosly fast in it as is. Just try to focus on the other hobbies you have to see if maybe you are wasting your time even hoping to get FI done think about it. Sounds to me like it is time to make a list of pros and cons of FI and then what you realy want do some thinking flip a coin etc and then go for whatever you feel is best. GL man

Thats a good point, I realized while doing my project I enjoyed fabricating and designing the turbo system more than I wanted a turbo car. Then again Roman has his 99 FMII, so whenever i wanted stupid fast I drove his car.

sometimes you just gotta make the best decision you can with what you have and commit to it.

what's that song? if you can't be with the one you love... love the one you're with.

or as they say on woot when you get a bag of crap: if you dont get the crap you want.. want the crap you get.

slap a greddy on your 1.6...decide if you like it a low boost...if you do...pull motor, sell greddy, continue w/ 1.8 turbo build...

FWIW, I've never gotten stressed about no knowing which way to go, annoyed, yeah, but my problem always lies in the funds to actually make something happen, thats stressful, but never enough to make me want to hate it.

I can see where you are coming from though...sorry bud!

i only get annoyed that i do so many projects that render the car undrivable for periods of time. the rest is my own damn fault, so i have no one to blame but myself, but the car is a blast and always worth it.

Well, I have the money...if I don't do the miata I'm going to pay cash for a tacoma x-runner. Time is the big thing, and I turn into a whiny fagot when I can't go home to see my dog, and realize that if I want to do this, I have to do a engine swap, rear end swap, brakes, turbo install, and tune in one week.

I just need to go home for a while.

You need to either **** or get off the pot. I can't beleive you've been agonizing over this as much as you have been, you have to be putting all of us on. Even the sissies over at m.net can pull the trigger with less drama than you.

If you are stressing this much and haven't even done anything you'll be climbing to the top of a clock tower when you actually get around to installing and tuning.
