Need a new toy
Don't hate but I am bored with my toys. It's a sickness.
Been thinking about getting something a little different V8 miata-this guy has been trying to unload this for a while. Nice list of parts but a swap car like this is more than the sum of it's parts. kinda makes me wonder what's wrong with it. V8 miata just seems so ... pedestrian maybe? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...item35b63ebf4c or get a relatively unknown english kit car-like an elise with the proper engine sans the horrible orange wheels http://www.wirewheel.com/2009-Javan-R1.html strangely I find myself like this even though it's a Renault http://wirewheel.com/RENAULT-SPORT-SPIDER-RACE-CAR.html Datsun 510 with an FJ20 swap, turbocharged BMW 2002 sound interesting or maybe I should by a kick ass go kart with an aixro rotary engine-probably get more use out of it Better ideas? what is on you toy list? |
Fuck all that. If you're bored with the shit in your signature, you need to up the ante a lot. Sell all that shit and get the supercharged Ariel Atom.
If that shit still bores you, I hope you're still young enough to get into the military to fly fighter aircraft. |
The Miata looks nice, but swap or not, I have trouble finding it worth it to spend over 13k on a 20 year old car. I guess it's not a bad price, but I still hesitate.
TheJavan is kinda strange looking, but I like parts of it. I could get to like it. The renault is downright ugly. Kill it with fire ugly. |
That V8 car is badass. People are just scared of the salvage title. If I had the cash, I'd drop it on that thing in a heartbeat.

Get rid of some stuff and get a used '08-'10 Viper, not a corvette, not a porsche, a Viper. It has 600 horsepower, no traction control, no ABS, no stability control, no bullshit. You'll love it or die trying. Or, get a sportbike. Or a jet like Sam said. Or start playing high stakes games of Russian Roulette, just find some Chinese guys in the back of a butchers shop, they point you in the right direction.
The V8 car looks cool too, if you get board of it then strap a couple of turbos on it. |
Sorry I would probably sell the suby.
Wasn't supposed to be make it sound like I was bragging. I mean if I was really baller I would get a DSR car like the Juno SSE, Radical or Stohr or some other racecar like the Palatov D1 but that entails another level of costs-trailer, tow vehicle etc I don't have to have the absolute most baller stuff, I just like to have fun and new stuff is fun. |
Wife won't let me get a motorcycle cuz she knows I'll die. Same for a pilot's license. They don't call small planes doctor killers for nothing.

I see what ya mean. You might be interested in something like this:

Some of those exocars are pretty cool
I would get the Superlite Nemesis-pretty cheap too My other drool car would be a Palatov D1 http://www.palatov.com/cars/d1.html Maybe a Riley track day car with the BMW v10-300K maybe not |
find a used prototype, or just turn one of your cars into an absolute track beast. find a chump car team and join. spend money on racing school, get license, start racing?
try to get into star mazda/formula ford? lol. |
Drool indeed.
Engine: 430hp 3.0L V8 Weight: 1,100lbs Drive: All That would be quick with 1/4 the power |
This is easy, buy a 996 GT2
|
Build an Ultima GTR
Try to beat 0-100-0mph in 10 seconds. Go! |
I'm digging the Javan

Your problem is not your toys, but what you do with them. Join a race series. Not track days, not DE and IMO: not time attack (no offence to anyone) but wheel to wheel racing. There is you adrenalin (spelling?) and new motivation to drive, to wrench on the car and to improve yourself. It doesn't have to be an expensive series with fast cars, a spec series do just fine.
