New daily Driver....
|
I've wanted one of those since '94 when I was 14 and would swing by the dealership every other day.
The Subaru salespeople were really nice...they'd let me sit in the cars and give me sales literature. I drooled over those things...and thought the 2dr was the hotness. Price seems a little high...but I have no idea how the market is for those...and IDK about the right hand drive, but looks like a very clean car for the mileage. |
Yeah I have no idea how much a RHD STi should cost . If it was a 2dr and had the correct rims I don't think I would be home posting I would be going to queens to buy it hahah.

No longer a valid link...
|
Really..... Let me check
|
Worked for me. I closed out the page and opened it from the link I posted
|
I just clicked the link and get nothing... I fail.
Found it online however... It is not an STi BTW.... Wrong intercooler and doesn't have the strut tower bar. Still nice though... |

The L's price is way high. You could find a nice 2.5 RS (~2000 model year) in very good-excellent condition for that price. Or even a bugeye WRX. If you're wondering what a swapped RSTi (or other sleeper STi transplant) would cost, NASIOC is a great place to check. From what I recall, ~$14k is about average. However, most come with some headaches or minor inconveniences. Also, find out who did the work. East Coast Swappers is one of the most famous names....however, a little research reveals that they're a nightmare and full of lies. One of my close Subaru buddies went through a horrible ordeal where his GF bought a swapped car that was totally misrepresented. So, do your research, don't pull the trigger too quick, etc. That being said, I really miss my 04 WRX wagon w/ 2.5 liter hybrid. So much fun! |

What the heck is a RDH STi?

It is just a JDM WRX... No STi. Also has the wrong front seats. Right steering wheel though.

The STi's have a silver intercooler with STi on a plate near the top of the intercooler, the WRX's are all black intercoolers with no plate. Also, the STi's have a carbon strut tower bar up front, the WRX does not.
Trust me... I've been looking into getting one shipped over from Japan for quite some time. Also, I wouldn't get a Version I anyways... I would look for a Version III+. :2cents: |
I don't think its a bad choice, kina expensive for what it is.....what is up with members on this forum and subies GAH!
|
^AWD baby! However, I have AWD with my Audi, but if I hit anything I can't afford to have it fixed due to the "Audi Mark-Up"... :(
|
Wow man thanks. Yeah I think i will take your advice and stay away from it.

If you really have your heart set on an EJ20 powered GC/GF Scooby you could always get a regular L or RS model and swap one in. I was going to do this with a wagon... Pretty straight forward, will just take some time with the wiring, but there are people out there who offer the service for a fee.
Incase you were wondering the attached pic shows what the intercooler, intercooler plate, and strut tower bar look like... https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/att...1&d=1264518214 |
i don't get this car... are you sure its jdm wrx? or that year? vin is GC2 and wrong version bumper among other things.
its a great car if there's some honesty behind it... |
I didn't even check the VIN on it... If it is a GC2 then it is not even a WRX, as they were GC8's IIRC...

You can get e36 bmws for almost half of that price these days :dunno:

From what I've seen I'd just get a later model RS2.5 2 door and swap in an EJ25. A local doucher bought a beautiful blue 2.5RS with an EJ20 swapped a few years back. Decided he wanted a big poop loop wing on it and picked one up for 40$ or so, only it was flat black. Instead of paying someone to paint the poop loop blue, the dumbshit spends 200$ in rattlecan to flat black the car. Looked like complete dog shit when he was done with it, but what do you expect for a 16 year old kid. |
