I'd also get the audi s4. My roommate has one and it is a blast to drive. Upgrades for it are highly overpriced though :( I keep telling him to put some MS on it :-P

Hope he bought it with K04's already, pulling the engine to replace blown K03's = :ugh2:

my dream car is a big ass boring lexus ls. I'll be content with a reliable turbo miata for track beatings.

The g is like the crustang in that they have similar power/torque, similar weight, and they are both good looking.

The BMW is an excellent idea. Probably pretty safe. I would modify a 328 (like in European car magazine project car) but by the time you spend the money for mods, you can buy an m3. Do the E36s have traction control? What is used for fuel for turbos on the Beemers?

1995. OBD-I. Good. Although you probably already know.

Did you drive the newer 2.5 WRX? AWD rex + snow = fun

yes a m3 would be my choice the fastest i ever seen on the autobahn in germany was inmy uncles M3 speedo read 280 km about 170 or so mph. it was a very nice car. the 350z is the same as the g35 but costs less, the gto is heavy but it is a very nice car. they all look good. but rear seating isnt there strong suit. for the kids and you something sporty and fun i would have to say pick up a nice 750i up till 93 they had a nice v12. the v10's, or v8's arent to bad either if you go 8-9 years old you could probably find one for less than 20K in good shape. i like the newer v6 accord as well a very stout car from the numbers. if you cant geuse i am partial to bimmers it's in my blood you could say. :bigtu:

1. Ford Fiesta
2. Opel GT
3. Austin Healy 100-4
4. Oldsmobile Delta 88 Diesel

I love all the cars in the posts above mine especially the one S4 that I have been in as well has my good friends '05 M3. Another one of my good friends has an amazing STi that I would sleep with a fat chick in exchange for. I on the other hand do not have that kind of budget. I love the Holden Monaro (GTO) and they put down some great numbers. Though I think my list of cars is far superior, the Fiesta is great to thrash after you cut the springs and whatnot. The '69 Opel GT is just weird looking and the CIH(cam-in-head) engine is unlike anything I've worked on, not impressive power wise though. The Austin Healy 100-4 had the front body of a Shelby Cobra and had a aluminum Buick V8 with powerglide tranny. It is a great car and I wish I had it at school with me. The Oldmobile Delta 88 I had in highschool was diesel with a sunroof and I loved it. Spinning brodies (Alaska term for donut) in a landyacht on the way to Highschool with my friends in the back was great fun and it got good gas mileage for a boat.

They also usually have good looking friends, so take one for the team and go for the available upgrades after a little while.

My daily drive is a Golf 2.0 TDI, great little run about.

Lots of guys use MS for DIY turbo E36's, BTW.

And you drop in a Escort GT drivetrain, (same 1.8 as in the miata) or easier to install but harder to find 323GTX/Mercury Capri turbo drivetrain (turbo 1.6).

I would add to this list the first body style Subaru 2.5RS with a newer STi drivetrain swap. You could get that done below the $23k limit.

I don't think you can find an R32 or G35 for less than $23k.
