Hardware specs are still mediocre at best. No word on whether the processor is multicore or even what the processor speed is. I wonder why.

The hand-puppet was a nice touch.

If youre talking about the iPhone 5 its an A6 processor. Quad-core.

Actually, after a little digging, its a dual core 1.0GHz chip.

Indeed.

Early indications (benchmarks) seems to show that it outperforms the Quad Core 1.4GHZ chip in the S3.

Isn't architecture a wonderful thing?

That does not use bluetooth nor does is currently work with MS3. I am a bit impressed with it none the less. I wonder who is writing it, because it sure as hell is not Phil Tobin.

No it's not, I never said it was though? He posts on MSExtra, MS3 is in the works as I understand it, should be a formality though as IIRC the comms between MS2 and MS3 are virtually identical.

Why is Bluetooth a requirement?

Not true. The S3 benchmarks at 1800, the iphone 5 at 1600.

Hmm? Not what I see here mate

Android Benchmarks - Geekbench Browser

Admittedly it has gone up since my earlier post (I have a picture showing the S3 at 1560 this morning...)

Edit: More digging shows the S3 does bench higher! Nonetheless, both are very powerful for mobile devices. Especially compared to previous generation devices.

The S3 also isn't quad-core in the US.

Samsung uses different CPUs and platform chips in phones intended for different markets, and I wouldn't be surprised if Apple does as well. For instance, the S3 in North America and Japan has a dual-core Krait CPU, an Adreno 225 GPU, and a Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 platform, while the rest of them get a quad-core Cortex-A9 CPU, a Mali-400 MP4 GPU, and anExynos 4 Quad platform. The Aussies also get Jellybean right out of the box, while everyone else gets ICS. (Still running FroYo myself.)

For this reason, it's important when comparing benchmarks to ensure that the phones being compared are from the same region.

I really like my iPhone 4S. The only downside that I've noticed is the autocorrect can be annoying.
