sure are making alot of plans for somthing you dont own yet. you can just plan out all these parts for your car before you even drive one. before i bought one i was like yeaa i want that lip and the rear one and the hard top and these cool wheels too. but then i relized i really just wanted a miata. drive one first and pick out what you dont like, dont just start throwing money at it... and plus youll never get it back.

this is a turbo forum and alot of our information cant really be shared from tc to sc. all that we could help with is engine buildin advice and some fuel managment. alot of our research goes towards turbo size and setup fabrication. but i am sure you can pick up alot of the fi fuel managment from here. do research before you buy it.. but dont go making a parts list and pointing out things you want before you know what you really need.

Back off the guy... nearly 10% of the forum members here have been talking about boost for years and still don't have it (me for example). He can talk all he wants, that how new ideas are spawned.

You'll see where my car has been and back. IT's not done yet. But, then again, what car is? It doesn't have far off before I've completed what i was going for. But all work, Aside from the actual motor build itself, was done by myself and some buddies. I did the motor swap and so on. Long, tedious road.

My first thoughts on the miata came after doing MINOR research...I see the weight distribution as a total gain over what i currently run. power to weight etc. can't beat it. It has nice stylilng as well. before i do anything performance-oriented, i'll be upgrading the full suspension, and adding a nice set of lightweight/wide wheels. I'd really only like to add a lip or something of that nature, I've seen those to be the best looking kits available. I don't like body kits,(as referenced in the thread i posted, i had my run-ins with these), no i don't have neons. I don't like them, and no I'm not some fly by night F&F kid. As i do enjoy the movies, i take them for what they are, MOVIES.

I came here looking for answers to my questions, and good tips for my search. I've not yet even finished my protege or purchased another miata, But that's not TOO far off.. I'd say, by....spring time. My car should be painted, tuned, and running great. It's steps fellas. one step at a time. But i came here to get acquainted with the car, the people who are in the know, and the answers. Thank you for your time.

Heh, we can get a bit moody around here...when you get something your interest post up like a "My plan thread" and lay it out, we'll give you hell or praise and you can go from there.

Good god, everyone here needs to get the sand out of their vaginas.

The very least you can do is nicely welcome the new guy. You can break his dreams slowly over the next few months. No need to do it all at once in his intro thread. lol.

Welcome Boostd. There's a lot of good info here if you look around. I hope you find a nice miata to work with.

I hate to say it, but SCs are definately a minority around here, but there's still lots of information about boost in general....

If you want to get an SC.... go for a car with a 1.8 in it, whether that's a 94-97, or the newer body styles..... You'll have a lot more choice for a kit.....

There's currently the M45 from JR (aka Moss is the only one selling at this point I believe).... The BRP kits, and the Fastforwards..... which are both based on the bigger MP62 kits..... They both have their own forums, and do have a wealth of information.....

If you want to DIY with S/C (as much as I hate saying this) a centrifugal would be the way to go. The roots blowers are far more complex for a diy setup.

YES
belt alignment issues and mounting a heavy head unit sounds like fun.
