I wouldn't go as far as to say that. It isn't a show car, but it is still in good condition. I would love to have this thing.

I like wagons and I like eccentric cars, but I could not bring myself to love that thing. The exterior is bad but the interior is a horrific reminder of how bad interiors were in the 1980s and early 90s.

Give it some credit... While it might not be this:

I don't get the idea of putting this much money into a crappy Volvo. I understand a cheap old v8 swap, but an LSx? For the amount this thing would cost, you could buy something newer that came with a "super clean" factory install. With the added bonus being that you can buy off the shelf parts, take it anywhere to get it serviced, oh, and have a chassis designed around the motor.

The exterior was dated when this car was new. The interior, however, has the most comfortable seats I've ever roadtripped in and comfort does not go out of style.

Hmm
You guys are tough.
It would probably look a whole lot better with just some better wheels/tires and a front airdam/chin spoiler. But the dated look is part of the charm in some ways, although not as classic retro as the 240.
The interior while dated is in quite nice shape and as mentioned above the front seats in these are quite comfy.

I think most are put off because it looks showroom stock aside from the engine.

Had that thing been on some nice wheels, mild drop, shiny and detailed, and some other subtle mods it would look sick.

I dig these things. Definitely don't love em though.

Pretty darn effective sleeper probably. No flak from law enforcement either...

I like it.

This is like saying an unattractive/morbidly obese woman is a great cook and good listener.

I still wouldn't want to be inside either.
