I think it's much more in line with an early 2000s 7 series in terms of luxury-oriented, highway comfort cruiser than anything from the '80s. ;) |
for some reason the Japanese luxury cars just don't do it for me. I don't think they're attractive at all...
So I talked to some BMW buddies about the 7's and the universal response was RUN AWAY. fuk... |

It's a bit smaller than the 7-series, but my understanding is that they are surprisingly reliable and are pretty inexpensive these days. XJRs are also super classy, but I am not sure about their common issues. |

My dad had one, he loved. Wished he would have kept it. __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
Yes indeed, reality is the great equalizer. Like the Jag's but too small. Maybe a early 70's caddy? Oh hell yeah!

Well, threw caution to the wind and bought a 2001 740i sport with 88K miles on it. Drives like a dream, a billion gadgets to keep me occupied, and handles really well for as large as it is. Heated steering wheel bitches! that's right! :)

Nice, good luck with it! I drove one of those generation 7's out to chicago back in '02 (the super stretched version). Very nice car to do long distance, for sure. Everything was electronic including a silly rear window shade that folded up hidden...well everything except the damn fuel filler door. I felt like an idiot looking for the secret button or lever to open the damn fuel filler door at the rest stop. It's one of those offset pivot doors instead where you push on the end of the door and it opens away & into the body. Slick but unexpected when everything else has a button! Tehehe.
