(not my Miata) Water in my CAI. And I/C piping. And I/C. And, finally, engine.

Well I have another POS, cheep, broke-ass car. 95 Eclipse.
It's just that I use it to go to class..until yesterday that is.

Driving home in a sick-ass storm, nervous but confident I'll be fine. I've driven through many a storm with no negative consequense.

Driving slow, real slow, cars stacked up behind me slow. My windshields foggy, no a/c. I can't see, but I'm almost home.

Car stumbles, then dies. SHIT. I just went through a river running across the freaking road. Didn't even see it. No chance.

Got towed home. Put it out of my head, pretended it didn't happen, everythings fine..... ignore it, hope it goes away. Sadly, that didn't work. This morning went to have a look. There's a lake on top of the #1 piston, the others are wet. Pulled the I/C pipes at the FMIC.

Water gushed out. Drained for at least a minute. N/S. Pulled the other side, thinking the I/C was done draining. Yeah. Same thing. Watched in horror.

Either it'll clean up fine, or I'm f-ked. I'd say it's 50/50. I'd just like to add that the water was ass-nasty. Dirty-ass-nasty.

Please post any advice or ideas, links for information on the subject if you know any. Ok, thanks for listening.

That really sucks, The same thing happened to my mom's car about a year ago. She got it fixed and it ran great untill she traded it in. Good luck , let me know how it works out.

Now there's an idea.

Just to make it worse, usually I drive an old 240 Volvo to class/around town. Except for yesterday.

Also, have (had) a sale lined up for a couple of months from now.

Ok, just out looking at the car.

Anyone think the intake manifold is full of water?

That's gonna be a job.
