So, I've played about 7 or 8 times, and my best score so far was ~12,500. What've you guys gotten so far?

Ok, what's the trick to getting points. I can get to level 39, but my points haven't gone past 2300. ??

Save your gold from round-to-round, and choose the increased interest rate every chance you get. Oh, and fire towers are pretty much the best all-around tower.

A veritable time sponge!

seem to die on level 37 every time. anyone get further?

I've only gotten to lvl 35. So far my TTP is:

1. build firetowers asap
2. upgrade firetowers
3. place water towers strategically to slow creep
4. upgrade interest rate once fire + water have been researched

What am I missing?

I got to level 40 when I tried researching the 3 elements and building rocket towers asap, selling all else except water, and building water towers all along the path. But virtually no points.

No, research fire the first time, then research gold interest every time thereafter. With well-placed, fully upgraded towers, should easily be able to make it to level ~35 with ~6 fire towers, but after that, you pretty much have to fill the map with towers to finish the game.

OK I just beat it. 19642 points. Rocket Towers are key. Water towers are useless. It ends after level 39.
