I dont think the valve cover bolts were intended for that purpose.

I was about to say the same thing. It looks like the bolts may be upgraded, or are they just down inside the tube? Either way yeah the hardware/setup of those particular bolts are not good for that.

Bracing's not a bad idea with tubular mani's. Looks like that one sits well away from the motor so there is more leverage from it. Triangulation FTW.

It just baffles my mind why Ford never offered the Cosworth in North America, yet they choose to give us the mustang:rolleyes:

Not just that, I wish we could have some of the other Euros over here. Alfa Romeo has a Mini Fighter that I think is sweet, the MiTo. Maybe when AF re-enters the US market in they will bring this one in.

There is a company about a mile away from my house, they specialize in bringing in the Ford escort Cosworth from Europe, retrofitting them to pass DOT and emmisions and all the other regulations, the asking price for them is 40K+.

I think they sold like 2 so far.

cardriverx 02-05-2009 04:58 PM

Better vid:
700hp Escort Cosworth ********- Video

We don't get any of the cool small cars from the euro makers. Ford, GM, Peugeot, Fiat, Alfa, Citroen, etc. Europe got a whole new Focus when the one we had bombed there. It was a great car and already replaced again. Here's the new focus RS they get.

Here's ours...

And they wonder why the automakers are in so much trouble. Look at the hotness the euro's get and the family truckster they sell us! How many of the euro model do you think they would sell here?!? Jeez the exec's and decision makers are stupid.

Do they really expect people to buy this?

NA6C-Guy 02-05-2009 06:06 PM

We get the shit cars because Americans buy anything that the media tells them is good. Fuck research, TV says its #1 in America, must be the best IN THE WORLD!!! Australia and European markets gets all of the good cars, we get stuck with the leftovers, watered down junk.

I also would kill for the 8C :cjerk:

cueball1 02-05-2009 06:16 PM

Here are some other relatively affordable cars we'll never get.

I would kill to get one of those Fiat 500 Abarth's. Literally I would murder for that car.
