Observation of the Week (Hillary Clinton)

I'm not a big fan of politics, but I happened to read this article about Hillary campaigning in West Virginia. Ironically, she was campaigning about 2 blocks from my girlfriend's house there in Charleston at a "Tudor's Biscuits". This made me laugh out loud for two reasons:

1> How can you take anyone seriously that is campaigning at a biscuit house? I mean she made good statements, but probably asked for gravy in the middle of each.

2> How redneck does that make WV look if they campaign at colleges in other states, but at Tudors Biscuit House in WV? She could have picked somewhere classy, like.. Golden Corral :giggle:

she's a robot either way.

So, looks like the republicans will take the White House again for at least another 4 years, huh?

Braineack 05-13-2008 03:30 PM

I wouldn't really call McCain a republican. more like, we have three choices of a liberal douchbag. either way, we lose.

unlikely. both hillary and/or barry lead slightly in polls againt mccain. obama was showing a few percent better than clinton but the gap is closing for the national election race.

in any case, mccain has to be something he's not for both the primary (how right wing can he act) and then again for the national election (how moderate can he act while he's trying to get evangelicals to not give up altogether). I think he's gonna fail on both fronts by trying to play opposing sides against himself.

Brad: she wants the Workin Mans to like her. Workin Mans eat biscuits.

we lose, but I stay Employed :fawk:

Zabac 05-13-2008 03:54 PM

Well, you got a black man, white woman, and a republican, I think we can all guess who will win.

lol :bowrofl: Funny, but very true.

I cant see a woman being president for awhile. Not at least until women have some kind of revolt towards men in the year 2078 or something. Sorry Hillary, your just in this one for shits and giggles. :giggle:

As an "Alien" (which is what your government calls us foreigners :giggle:) I've always stayed clear of your politics but; I think you guys are in for a November "surprise". FWIW, I'm closer to the Republicans than to the Dems but what we see from overseas is the Dems controlling both the Congress and the White House after this general election. (flame suit on) :)

My apologies

like a pendulum... it's either swinging from right to left or left to right.

I certainly hope this comes true.

So true. FWIW, there's a local saying that goes something like this: "when the States sneezes the DR catches a cold!".

I miss Reagan!

AMEN!

My only bitch to pitch about the Republicans is this gas price bullshit. The government needs to put a stop to the price gouging oil market.. But they won't. :jerkit: Instead, we need to find OTHER things to fuel our car... CORN!

Or, we could spend 150 trillion dollars on making a car that runs off WATER! YAAAAY!

y8s 05-13-2008 09:03 PM

I found a video of you guys.

You couldnt have said that any better. The Republican party is slowly dying off and that scares me.

Whoever ends up as president, I hope they surround themselves with people that have their eyes open and see that America isn't the only superpower, and that it is in everybody's best interests to work with the rest of the world. As long as the era of ignorance and arrogance in foreign policy and global economies comes to a close, I'll be happy.

From "The Post-American World:"
"Generations from now, when historians write about these times, they might note that by the turn of the 21st century, the United States had succeeded in its great, historical mission-globalizing the world. We don't want them to write that long the way, we forgot to globalize ourselves."

Zabac 05-14-2008 09:34 AM

Ben, can't agree with you more. I have this guy at work constantly reminding me that America can kick everybodies ass in one day. Sad thing is, he is as serious as a heart attack. But most good politicians these days left politics for business, for more money obviously, all we have left is little wanna be ------s (well and two dykes).
