Personaly I have no problem ignoring Google adds, or any other type that don't float around on the screen blocking what I'm trying to read. I don't think it will wear out the scroll wheel on my mouse that much sooner.

Exactly. I dont complain about them here. Why? Becuase they are unobtrusive.

One person (Fritch) says they are annoying, and now Gary is all bitter and unprofessional about it. Instead of freaking out and calling people scum, maybe he should take a hint. Then in defense the way he asks for handouts is so lame. If he really needed the cash to run the site he would make a better announcement than that.

Yeah, I'm freezing my *** off as it's like 70F when I wake up in the morning. On the positive side, I don't have to worry about my car pinging until next April or so. Time to up the boost again? lol

I doubt it. I don't really think that much has changed in the 6 or so years I've been a member; this sorta stuff's been going on a while.

And I doubt some Google ads are going to kill the site.

Yes, infact it may blossom into a super site and eat your soul. There are some mustang sites out there that charge over $500 a month for basic banner advertising on.

I have no problem with the google ads, just the people on parts of the forum

however, I really like most of the suspension/wheels threads I've posted on, its not bad stuff....

Yup, but again: those people (or ones like them who've come and gone) have always been on the forum. Nothing's changed in that regard.

He should be putting the cost of running m.net onto the vendors, not the people that are providing the content. Sadly people will pay the $$$ thinking it's a great deal.
