Default CR.net handling advice from slammer

I found this gem of a quote when looking at a miata hyabusa motor swap.

http://clubroadster.net/vb_forum/sho...4&postcount=24

This quote defines why you should never go to cr.net for any kind of information other then misinformation.

Would be awesome if I could cut 100lbs off my front end, too bad according to hellabrosef it would cause mad understeer yO.

In that case, all these cars that have extensive design to put the engine as far back as possible/behind the shock tower....have been doing it wrong. The best idea would be to always put the engine as far forward as possible. Also, this reasoning would indicate that Porsches shouldn't be able to turn worth a ---- and that domestics with their massive amounts of weight up front should handle better...

I don't claim to know anything about weight distribution and handling, but isn't what helps the miata perform like it does the near 50/50 weight distribution?

Great, she said every answer I gave was exactly what I was looking for, hopefully she doesn't say that to everyone. She said I'd know by Monday afternoon.

that thread is generally funny:

Batou:...I see Haig's gone to Europe and back and he still hasn't learned anything about cars.
Haigog:....I see Batou is 23 years old and doesn't understand high school physics.
