Default The new DD.

2009 Honda Fit. I was looking for a good daily because the Miata will soon be going back under the knife and my truck was not really up to the task of being the daily. On a whim I took one of these bad boys out on a test drive and was shocked. The suspension is surprisingly sporty and very responsive. It's tight and has no issues taking spirited turns. But what shocked me the most is the gear box. The thing is butter. So smooth and precise. I just about jizz my pants every time I shift. Still on my first tank but I'm guessing I'm at around 40mpg.

Anyways did not expect to pick this up, but glad I did.

Also I joined fitfreak.net just to see what's up... I just about barfed. I thought you gays were ****. But this is a whole new level.

But the cargo space! lul jk. I swear that is all I here from fit owners. Picked this up for 13,9xx with 700 miles so I think that is fair.

I like the fit in theory. I got to drive one. with me and two other people in it, it was definitely not a fast car. it was ok though. great for its size for sure.

Gf just got an 07 Fit sport model, with 15K miles. Traded in her rust bucket 2000 impala. Its pretty zippy. First drive in a Honda, it likes to go. Plus the 07s are much much much much better looking then the 08/09s. About gas mileage, she was getting better then 40mpg on the first half of the tank. Then it dropped off hard. Overall its a pretty good car, she has been slightly obsessed with one since they first came out. There is tons of space inside, the way the rear seats fold up and down is awesome.

I am on fitfreak as Slipmagt. There is an insane amount of chassis braces.

Really I'd say the 08/09 face lift was much needed. The earlier models just look meh to me. Nothing special. Do the earlier models have the seats fold flat? Or just fold down? For some reason I was thinking it was a new feature in 08'.

I'd like a Mazdaspeed5. More space, more go.

More money, also I thought they only had a speed3 and 6?

The Fit has more than enough space... The Fit douchers that rave about the cargo space aren't completely insane. Plus the Miata has enough go (for now...). So no need to buy another fast car.

Everyone I've ever heard talk about a Fit thats owned a miata compared the two. I think I might test drive one this week. Do they sell sway bars, shocks, exhaust for the Fit?

They do sell all that junk for them, even turbo and superchargers. I'm not even about to go down that road with fail wheel drive. Also for anyone looking to buy one.. the dealer WANTED 18,9 for this thing, so check out that mark up. Although from what I found the average selling price is around 15,9. I bought it from a Nissan dealer, so I think they just didn't know what they went for or something.
