Now I'm a pretty laid back guy, and understand that it takes all kinds of people to make the (online) world go 'round, but the noobs here are killing me.

Oh how I wish I could delete some posts / toss a violation out when appropriate / and generally keep the bad noobs inline. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones who bang out a bunch of useless noise to get their post count up so they can send a PM. The ones who ask assinine question that have been answered eleventybillion times. The ones who don't read even one Goddamn sticky. And worst of all the ones who get good advice from people who have been there before, refuse to take it, AND get pissy!

Bah - I'm getting cranky.

^I agree if you're registering on your first forum ever. But internet forums weren't invented yesterday. Granted, this one forces you to put on your big-boy-britches right away, but checking the stickies, searching, Google, etc... should be old hat after the second or third forum you register to. If you're a NOOB and can't even be bothered to read the stickies, then I reserve the right to e-squash your dick flat.

I guess I don't see the problem. With Rafa as the official MT.NET greeter (smilie face stickers and all) the newbs learn fast enough. Besides, if there were no noobs being retarded who would you bash and who would hustler e-thug.

Ignorant of things specific to a platform (i.e. Miata) is one thing. Stupidity, laziness, posts just to get around forum set limits is another.

+1....if everyone knew everything and there would be no noobs or stupid people, forums would be boring

I think our mod-to-member ratio is high already.

It's pretty easy to spot a newb thread before opening it...I just ignore them for the most part.
