Wow.

hobby stores DO sell a rust color paint for painting plastic, I'm sure similar is available that would bond to metal.

there is a guy locally who has an old ford deuce thats built up to be a ratrod. He created the rusting out look with a special paintjob. Looks kinda cool actually. On a miata though??

i think some guy over on cr.net did his hood up with rust paint. all the fanbois were hanging from his ******* over it.

I think he just sprayed it black primer and then hosed it down with paint stripper and left it outside for awhile.

I'm thinking of putting bondo in random places on my Miata and then using a rattle can for touch up because I like the way it looks. Anyone know if I can use my air compressor to put fake rust bubbles under my freshly sprayed paint?

Also, is there a way I can get my new Heliums to look like steelies? Is there some hubcap or something I can put on them?

Yes I do. He sounds dumb enough I think he should fill a super soaker with paint stripper and randomly spray the whole car. Let nature take over from there. If he wants to ruin his car he should do it right! Maybe pull a "Slapshot" custom job on it...
