random: Need software for PC to access cellphone

Ok, this is a random question. Does anyone have anything that I can d/l that will allow me to access my verizon razor through usb so that I can put the photos I've taken on my pc? I don't have my digicam at my apt because I forgot it at home last time I went. Any software (free) will do as long as it lets me take off my pictures.

i found some software once, but required some sort of subscription or something....gave up.

I have a 1gb mini=sd card in my phone, download to that, throw the adapter into my laptop....luckily i have a port for one....other one my other laptop or desktop i stick it into my camera to download off....$7 with adapter....

or i get lazy and just email the pics through the phone.

Yes, look on Motorola's site for the name of their software, as I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head (it's fairly generic-sounding, as I recall...like, PC Phone Tools or something). When you find the name of the software, head over to www.thepiratebay.org to download it.

The verizon specific frimware disables your ability to retrieve certain files from your phone. To get it to work you'll have to hack it and use a seem editor.

oh fuck....gotta d/l this junk now.

I used Motorola phone tools on my Razor. Downloaded somewhere off the web. My vendor doesn't lock out any of the features (Bell Canada).

m2cupcar Jun 21, 2007 11:24 AM

did the same to my verizon motorola- sit it down on my desk and bam- it's connected to the computer. It's BS that the providers list the phone capabilites from the manufacturer and the lock 'em down and offer them as add-on features for a fee.

hell yeah, 25 to 6 to 4, as my ringtone.

howardforums.com has like everything for cellphone related shit. Another option is to use pix texting to send it to an email address (unless they have disabled this).

Do you just capture these then make your own? I didn't see a "download theme" button.

If he downloaded Moto mobile phone tools, it has a utility to make your own. Easy with the original MP3. Mobile phone tools is pretty shitty software in general though.

howardforums is good. i'm registered there.

I just copy the mp3 to my phone via bluetooth or over usb (like a thumb drive) and set it as a ringer. i dont know how those crappy motorolas do it :)

Braineack Jun 21, 2007 02:07 PM

that's all i did....had to compress it a bit though.

neogenesis2004 Jun 21, 2007 02:15 PM

I didnt send a text because my plan doesnt knclude that, and I didnt want to bend over for the extra cost if I sent one without the plan.

shit... sprint doesn't even offer a text message add on plan down here... If I want texting without paying per message I have to change companies. My contract expires next month so off to cingular I go (get a huge discount anyways). I think I'm paying like $20/mn for texts right now... $0.15/msg
