It belongs here. The bicycle thread isn't about bicycles anymore.

Who is that trying to vacuum it up and why is he not at the valve turning it the hell off?

We usually have a sprinkler head break once every 3 months or so.

That actually happened at work last week.

Imagine a 200,000 sq ft manufacturing plant under 3 inches of water.

How does it get that bad? Happen on a Saturday or something when no one noticed?

It happens so frequently, we actually have an action plan in place for when it does.

It was actually the main water feed into the building from the street. The photo was taken about 6 minutes in. It took them about 35 to get the valve shut off. So much water came in, that it flooded the elevator shafts and shorted the main electrical system of the building. School was then canceled.

Happened some time between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning (only time there are no shifts running).

Apparently one of the water pipes for the fire suppression system burst. It even made its way into some of the offices up front, carpet is still pulled up with the bottom 2ft of drywall cutaway.

Thankfully Engineering is on the 2nd floor.

^^ Really good. Look closely, he is 'pushing' the chalk, rather than 'pullng' it. Never seen that done before.
